Fastest Growing Economy in Europeg y p

• Ireland will be the fastest growing economy in Europe for the 2nd year in 2015.

• Labour market has added almost 105,000 jobs since start 2012.

• Unemployment falling for  years, down to 9.7% in June from peak of 15.1% in 2012.

• Public finances improving rapidly Gov’t debt fell 13 points to 110% of GDP in 2014.

• While the employment situation is improving wage inflation remains subdued. The IMF is forecasting wage inflation of c 2% p a toforecasting wage inflation of c.2% p.a. to 2018.

– 2014 was a record year for FDI, number of investments up 20% to 197investments up 20% to 197. 

– 13% increase in new name investors to 88  

– Employment rose to record high 174,448

– Investments from leading global companies:  Amazon, Bristol Myers Squibb, Fid li Li k dI S M k Ai B bFidelity, LinkedIn, Survey Monkey, Air Bnb, PayPal, Ericsson, SAP, Johnson & Johnson, West Pharmaceuticals, Zendesk, Adroll and , ,New Relic.
