    Within 24 hours of the date of the event being announced, vendors

    started signing up.

    Already more than 20 vendors, representing crafts, foods, and area

    businesses and organizations have reserved booths. In addition, a yoga

    demonstration has been scheduled through Active Kat Yoga of

    Doniphan, a line-dancing performance has been scheduled through

    Cape Arrowhead Line Dancers, and music will be performed by gospel

    and inspirational singer Mark Cave, and by the band Bluff City Fall

    Out.

    Another fun activity scheduled is the Mr. Hot Legs Contest. All guysover the age of 12 are encouraged to compete with just a $5 entry fee,

    which will go to train depot restoration.

    To make the event truly a family event, every booth operated by a local

    business or organization will be offering childrens games and activities.

    We wanted to make this a true community event in which businesses

    and organizations can introduce themselves to the community, and wewanted them to interact in a fun way with families, especially children,

    commented Hilderbrand.

    The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 12. In the

    event of inclement weather, the event would be held the following

    Saturday.

    All businesses, groups, or vendors who wish to participate in this eventshould visit the Iron Mountain Market to fill out an application form.

    Belcher will be there Tuesdays and Fridays, 2-6 p.m., and on Saturdays

    9 a.m. until noon, to accept applications for the festival.The booth fee

    is $10, or $15 if electricity is required, though only a limited number of

    electrical booths are as yet not reserved. All booth fees go to train

    depot restoration. For more information, a complete schedule of

    activities, and application forms, those interested may contact the

    group via their Facebook page. The deadline for booth reservations isOctober 5.
