PaaS: Platform as a Service is a model in which cloud provider delivers a computing platform including web server, database and operating system. So that developer creates applications on the provider platform over the internet. Some examples are Google App Engine and OrangeScape etc.

SaaS: Software as a Service is a very broad market service model. In this model, cloud user does not manage the cloud infrastructure and platform on which the application is running because the service provider hosts both the application and the data; the end user is free to use the service from anywhere.

Cloud computing grows in popularity very rapidly as most of the companies today want to redesigned their products using cloud computing technology. This technology is beneficial for both small enterprises and large enterprise. Especially public cloud services are more beneficial for small enterprises because in this service business organization have to pay only for the capacity they use which is ideal for small enterprises. On the other hand private cloud service requires more knowledge and capabilities to manage, so it not for every organization. It is important to know that cloud computing is not for each and every business organization, as every business has its own needs and according to its requirements cloud computing technology is used.
