IS CSR A WASTE OF TIME?

Page 2: IS CSR A WASTE OF TIME?

At the heart of our company culture is ethics and sustainable growth.

We know that we can provide you with an exceptional service while being socially and environmentally responsible.

We understand that it's the little things that make a big difference.

We have successfully differentiated ourselves within the events management industry with our approach to CSR and continuously

strive to improve on our current policies.

We are a digitally focused company

According to World Counts paper accounts for 25% of landfill waste and 33% of municipal waste, it is for this reason that we encourage all of our team to avoid using paper wherever possible. We promote the use of the latest technologies such as tablets and smartphones

to reduce the amount of paper that we are using.

We only order paper from FSC approved suppliers

'FSC' stands for Forest Stewardship Council, an organization that works to promote the practice of sustainable forestry worldwide.

The Forest Stewardship Council sets standards for forest products and certification gives customers the option to choose forest products like

paper and wood that have been sourced in an environmentally-friendly, socially responsible and economically viable manner.

We are passionate about recycling

Deforestation is responsible for more greenhouse gas emissions than all the world’s cars, trucks, planes and ships combined.

This is why as a business we stress the importance of recycling to all of our staff. It is estimated that recycling 1 ton of paper saves around 682.5

gallons of oil, 26,500 litres of water and 17 trees.

We encourage bike-to-work schemes

We encourage our staff to cycle or walk to work. Little steps like this may seem menial, however if every business promoted

such schemes could have a real impact.

We educate our team on the benefits of reducing their carbon footprints and the impact that they could have as individuals.

We are passionate about diversity

We recognise that a culturally diverse team is the fundamental basis of generating brand new, exciting ideas.

We hire the best talent from around the globe which elevates us above our competition. Our teams contrasting backgrounds make for an

environment that promotes creativity and innovation.

We give back to the local community

As a business we recognise the importance of giving back to the community within which we operate.

For over 10 years our management team have invited students and interns to work at emc3 providing them with essential knowledge and

experience. Several individuals that began as interns have even progressed to managerial level with the company.

We support charitable causes

You can give nothing more valuable than your time.

This year we have planted trees in Heartwood Forest supporting The Woodland Trust helping to offset our carbon footprints.

And spent the day cooking for the homeless at Whitechapel Mission.

We are constantly looking to support new causes so please feel free to suggest new ways that we can give back!

We try our best to promote our passion for sustainable growth to our clients. We encourage clients to offset their carbon usage

at events and explain the value of this.

We also offer recycling and waste management ensuring that the amount being thrown away after events is reduced.

We encourage our clients to think green
