That doesn’t mean the more the staging costs, the better quality it will be! However, don’t go cheap. Simply putting furniture in a space is NOT effective home staging! A chair in a corner, 1 or 2 pillows on a sofa, or a piece of artwork over the mantle in an otherwise empty room does not create the emotional appeal that connects buyers to a home or inspires them to make an offer.

STAGER’S INVENTORY

Make sure your stager has their own extensive inventory of high quality furniture, décor items, artwork, lighting, pillows, area rugs, etc. They should also have varying styles of furnishings (traditional, contemporary, modern, etc.) in order to create a design theme that complements the home and best showcases your listing. Sometimes your client’s furnishings just won’t appeal to the buyers you’re trying to reach.

Make sure your stager understands the unique challenges of your listing. Every home is different and has its own specific challenges. It’s important that your stager understands what your listing needs and is not just repeating what they do in every home.
