  • Cedar Country has a Manager/Service Writer(Woody)
  • 2 Full Time technicians, Ben and Mike

  • The workers need to have a great understanding of vehicle operations and products.
  • They take classes when new technologies or problems arise to learn about them.
  • The technicians need to have an education in vehicle repair as well as vehicle operation and other things
  • Cant just walk in off the street and get a job

    • A type of Strategic Alliance to help each other out

    • Then Identifix will show flow charts, diagrams, or various descriptions on how to fix the problem they are having.

      • Every shop that uses this can add info to the system

    • They use card scanners for making payments
    • Printers to print out diagrams and bills
    • Additional scanners for Patron Points
      • There is also a call in service available that they use for Identifix to get further help

    • Only use for customers that have the techs personal cell number, no company issued cell phones

    • Each tech has a landline in their work area

    • Very rarely use, unless techs have the email and have no other way of reaching customer

    • One interesting this is where they will send out a postcard if they had not had your vehicle in for awhile
    • Sort of like a friendly reminder

  • They have a basic wired connection using coaxial cables.
  • They use the Internet for various Auto Parts websites to order parts or tires
  • All employees have the same network access, regardless of the length of employment with the company

    • Makes repairs less costly

    • Not a complicated system
  • Can go right in and figure out the problem
    • Keeps cost low and customer satisfaction high

    • If something is wrong with diagnosis, employees may assume it is right and waste time and customer money
