Island Lake Conservation Area Conceptual Site Plan

April 2021

Page 2: Island Lake Conservation Area

We acknowledge that the land on which we gather and the entire Credit River Watershed is part of the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit.

The Credit River Watershed is the traditional territory of the Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee (Iroquois), Métis, and most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit.

As citizens, we continue to be party to the treaties made with Canada’s Indigenous peoples and we recognize their enduring presence on this land. We affirm that this land is our common source of life and we must all share in its care and prosperity.
