In 1958, our founder laid the roots for Bhauram Jodhraj in Assam by acquiring Amchong Tea estate, The tryst with tea soon turned into a plantation company, which later progressed into an integrated presence throughout the value chain of tea from plucking, manufacturing, warehousing, to selling teas through various mediums. With our head offices in Guwahati and Mumbai, we export tea to various countries. Tea is not a mere beverage for us but a luxurious indulgence of the senses. At Bhauram Jodhraj, we seek to achieve the perfect blend by combining new age technology with the time honoured techniques of our senior agronomists.

We strive to ensure that when you drink a cup of our tea, you drink only tea in it’s purest form without any harmful chemicals or additives. All our plantations adhere to the EU guidelines on maximum permissible chemical residue limit and use only TRA recommended chemicals. Above all, we believe in ethical consumerism. Each year we strive to produce the best of teas without damaging or polluting the environment. All our estates and factories are `Trust Tea, IS0 22000, HACCP, GMP(Good manufacturing Practices) compliant. We are also certified by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), USA. In 2016,Amchong Tea Estate was awarded the Industry Leader Award in World Tea and Coffee Expo, Mumbai for its commitment towards excellence in the industry. Our group estates are currently in the process of also getting RA (Rainforest Alliance) and ethical tea partnerships certified also.

Bulk CTC Tea (by line or container basis)The Assam CTC Tea is the base ingredient in the world famous chai blends and is known globally its liquor. Our CTC teas provide rich liquor and flavour to your everyday cuppa. We supply all grades from BP, BOPSM, OF, PD, Dust, etc. We put in our best to ensure that our customers are supplied with uniform teas throughout the year.

Bulk Orthodox Tea (by line or container basis)For the true tea lover - rich, strong full-bodied with a unique matty flavour is what makes Assam black orthodox teas an international favourite. Our range of orthodox teas comprises of all grades from the whole leaf grades such as TGFOP-1 to broken and fanning grades, consumed the world over.

Flavoured CTC and Orthodox BlendsWe have a selection of over 100 spices, herbs and extracts to choose from so that we can develop unique blends which are appealing to the pallet such as cardamom, licorice, rose petal, early grey, turmeric, tulsi rosewater, chamomile, peppermint, hibiscus cherry, etc. We have developed our expertise when it comes to packing these natural ingredients in such a way that the flavour and aroma remain the same even after long periods.

Private Labeling

We offer private labling services to our wholesale buyers such as FMCG companies, food merchants, supermarkets, retail chains, grocery companies, tea café chains, hotel chains, educational and commercial institutions. We offer a wide variety of packaging options to choose from for the different blends such as tin boxes, zip lock pouches, vacuum packaging, pillow pouches, single/double chambered tea bags, pyramid tea bags, mono-carton boxes, etc.

Amchong Tea Estate, is TRUSTEA, ISO 2200, HACCP, GMP certified garden located 40 minutes away from the city of Guwahati, Assam spread over 1782 acres and has a capacity to produce approx. 1,000,000 kgs of tea annually. It is the only hilly terrain tea garden in the quality belt of Assam (lower Brahamaputra valley) renowned worldwide for its superior full- bodied teas and unique aroma. The estate is known for producing high quality Orthodox and CTC teas in the region, eploying over 700 workers.

Short Supply Chain

When working with Bhuaram Jodhra tea estate, the supply chain is very different in that the product delivered to the end user does not pass through as many hands as traditional supply chains and lead times for delivery are very short to ensure our teas are fresh and aromatic for the end customer to enjoy. Because we belive that the best way to market tea is through words of mouth marketing. Our primary emphasis as a firm is to provide our customers with teas straight from the source and so we strongly advocate the concepts of “from leaf to cup” and “garden to glass”.

Retail Product Offering - “AM’cha”

The latest ovvering by Amchong for its end customers is our own retail ‘Single-Estate’ tea brand called “AM’cha” which is a blend of CTC and orthodox teas. The teas are packed straight after manufacturing in the estate to retain as much freshness and falvour as possible. It has been developed keeping in mind the global marketplace and the teas have been found to appeal to people from all over the globe. Our retail offering comes in various packagin sizes such as 15 grams, 30 grams, 100 grams in pillow pouches and 250 grams, 500 grams and 1 kg in zip lock pouches.
