Course Learning ObjectivesAs result of successfully completing BCM 5000, students should show competence in and an understanding of the following areas:

1. Key practices of a business continuity program for organizations of all sizes 2. The essential elements of the following standards: a. ISO 22301 b. ISO 22313 c. ISO 19011 d. ISO 170223. The requirements for auditing business continuity programs 4. How to lead an audit of a BCMS including reporting verbally and in a documented audit report

Course Schedule & ExamClass begins each day at 8:00 AM and concludes at 5:00 PM. There is a one hour break each day for lunch.

There is a 4 hour exam on Day 5. It consists of multiple choice questions that examine understanding of Business Continuity and short answer questions that examine under-standing of auditing practices as defined in ISO 22301, 19011, and 17022.

Course fees include all course materials, continential breakfast, lunch, and all day bever-ages and snacks. The exam is also included in the course fee.

AccreditationBCM 5000: ISO 22301 Lead Auditor Training is accredited by the American National Stan-dards Institute (ANSI) as part of ICOR’s Certificate Program.

Upon completion of BCM 5000 and passing the exam with a rate of 80% or higher, attendees will earn an ANSI Accredited certificate as an ISO 22301 Lead Auditor.

About ISO 22301 Lead Auditor Training BCM 5000 teaches the principles and practices of independent auditing of a BCMS andguides the student through the audit process using a balance of formal instruction andpractical case study activities. The focus of the course content is on the requirements of ISO 22301 and how these requirements are implemented in a Business Continuity Management System.

BCM 5000 provides students with the skills and knowledge to conduct and lead effective business continuity management system audits in accordance with the requirements of ISO 22301: 2012, ISO 19011: 2012, and ISO 17022: 2012.

Attendees will also gain the necessary knowledge to prepare for an external audit as well as how to develop a standards-based business continuity program.

The course audience ialso ncludes those with auditing experience who are interested in adding the auditing of BCM Systems (BCMS) to their audit capabilities for conducting internal and/or external audits as well as BCM professionals who wish to add auditing competence to their skill sets.

Course DescriptionBCM 5000: SO 22301 Lead Auditor Training is a 5-day instructor-led course. The course is constructed around a case study and each activity is applied to the case study as we move through the course. There are more than 25 auditing activities as well as multi-media that provide practice applying and gain in an understanding of the requirements of ISO 22301 and BCMS auditing practices..

Also included are small “quizzes” taken during the course after each section. The purpose of the quizzes is to help attendees measure what they know and what requires further study.

Course materials include: Templates for “standards” compliance, Comparison of BS 25999 and ISO 22301 in excel paper and electronic format, and an ISO 22301 Assessment Checklist.
