We have explored and observed the world to create
a new manufacturing idea, where human knowledge
and assets join with virtual intelligence: System 4.0.
The path to digitization takes shape starting from
process analysis - the heart of the change underlying
“smart manufacturing”.
We have decided to pre-empt the future by developing
state-of-the-art solutions, for a flexible, connected

Data compiled by Acimac show that the Italian ceramic ma-chinery and equipment industry continued its recovery in 2015. Turnover reached 1,982.8 million euros, an increase of 8% on 2014 and more than 2 percentage points higher than the previous record of 2007. The upward trend in the domestic market continued with further 4.3% growth in sales. The results in foreign markets were even more significant in terms of value (exports grew by 9.1% to 1.522 billion euros, another record!) and reveal a well-balanced distribution of turnover across the continents: 28% in Europe, 28% in Asia, 23% in the Americas, 13% in Af-rica and 12% in the Middle East. This textbook distribution of exports confirms the Italian ceramic machinery industry’s world leadership position with an extensive presence in all geographical markets, including Asian countries where it fac-es stiff competition from China. Sales of Italian plants have grown strongly in Asia (excluding China) (+29.3%), as well as in the European Union (+22.6%) and Africa (+22.8%). Growth was especially strong in North America, where turnover prac-tically doubled (+93%).
In just under 3 months’ time, on 26 September, the leading ceramic manufacturers from all over the world will meet at Tecnargilla in Rimini to get a close-up view of the latest pro-cess technologies, which this year more than ever before will focus on the issue of efficiency. But the projections of a successful show are not just based on the encouraging results from 2015. The outlook for 2016 is equally positive, as Acimac’s Chairman Paolo Sassi noted during the annual members meeting that elected him to the helm of the association until 2020. The first quarter of 2016 closed with 9% growth over the same period in 2015, driven by a further 14% rise in exports in spite of the slowdown that has hit several important markets and the economic and so-cial crises experienced in some areas. “This is a clear indica-tion of the strength of our industry,” said Sassi. “We hope that this growth will be confirmed over the coming months, allow-ing us to close the year by surpassing the already excellent re-sults achieved at the end of 2015.” 5
Spicca il risultato in Nord America, dove il fattura-to è praticamente raddoppia-to (+93%).
