College of Engineering Suite 1530 Society of Automotive Engineers Issue 1 October 2013 A New Season The 2013 fall semester is underway and with it a new building season for the For- mula SAE Warrior Racing Team. With the competitions at the Michigan Interna- tional Speedway and Lincoln Nebraska locked into our schedule we have begun to design a new car. By relying on veteran experience and ingenuity from new team- mates we’re sure to have a phenomenal year. Individuals from all engineering disciplines and all other majors are welcome to join in our success. Whether your interests are in power-train, engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, drafting, welding, aesthetics, business management, public relations, etc. etc. there is definitely a place for you on our team. Even if you don’t have the slight- est clue on what you would enjoy working on or if you would simply like to learn more about our program please feel free to swing by our office. No prior experience required. After discussing your interests with our team leaders we will find the best work to get you started with. There’s no pressure and plenty of freedom if you decide that the tasks we assign do not fulfill your interests. Currently we are hosting weekly workshops on Saturday afternoons to focus on a particular skill or component. Com- bining these workshops with one on one hands on training will get you up to speed in no time. Actively contributing to the FSAE team will increase your skill set and give you an edge on your education. Working with the team will also allow you to make valuable contacts with many Wayne State staff members. In addition you’ll have the potential to meet individuals from different universities and companies to establish potential job connections. Most importantly we aim to have a great time while working on these formula cars. Our team is a dynamic group of supportive, intelligent, and fun loving individuals that will work towards making your experience as rewarding as it can be. A New Season

The 2013 fall semester is underway and with it a new building season for the For-

mula SAE Warrior Racing Team. With the competitions at the Michigan Interna-

tional Speedway and Lincoln Nebraska locked into our schedule we have begun to

design a new car. By relying on veteran experience and ingenuity from new team-

mates we’re sure to have a phenomenal year.
