A New Season
The 2013 fall semester is underway and with it a new building season for the For-
mula SAE Warrior Racing Team. With the competitions at the Michigan Interna-
tional Speedway and Lincoln Nebraska locked into our schedule we have begun to
design a new car. By relying on veteran experience and ingenuity from new team-
mates we’re sure to have a phenomenal year.
Individuals from all engineering disciplines and all other majors are welcome to join
in our success. Whether your interests are in power-train, engine, suspension, brakes,
electronics, drafting, welding, aesthetics, business management, public relations, etc.
etc. there is definitely a place for you on our team. Even if you don’t have the slight-
est clue on what you would enjoy working on or if you would simply like to learn
more about our program please feel free to swing by our office. No prior experience
required. After discussing your interests with our team leaders we will find the best
work to get you started with. There’s no pressure and plenty of freedom if you decide
that the tasks we assign do not fulfill your interests. Currently we are hosting weekly
workshops on Saturday afternoons to focus on a particular skill or component. Com-
bining these workshops with one on one hands on training will get you up to speed in
no time.
Actively contributing to the FSAE team will increase your skill set and give you an
edge on your education. Working with the team will also allow you to make valuable
contacts with many Wayne State staff members. In addition you’ll have the potential
to meet individuals from different universities and companies to establish potential
job connections.
Most importantly we aim to have a great time while working on these formula cars.
Our team is a dynamic group of supportive, intelligent, and fun loving individuals that
will work towards making your experience as rewarding as it can be.
Hope to see you all soon!
