Supplying cranes & hoists to a wide variety of operators in the energy sector
In this edition we focus on our most recent projects with the various operators in the
energy sector. We continue to build strong relationships in the Upstream, Mid-Stream and Downstream sectors.
As can be seen on the following pages we have worked with a significant number of operators all over the world. Exporting Explosion proof bridge cranes currently accounts for 90% of our business.
Whilst we are primarily a manufacturer of explosion proof bridge cranes its worth remembering that we also supply bridge cranes, jib cranes and trolley hoists for safe area applications also.

The three most recent projects with Exxon Mobil are highlighted here. The Arktun Dagi and Hebron Topsides projects were handled by an engineering house in Houston USA with the Baytown project being handled by a German Engineering house from Dresden.On both the Arktun Dagi and Hebron projects there were several
explosion proof electric bridge cranes together with a monorail hoist package which included electric, pneumatic and manual hoists. A manual handling package including floor trolleys, pallet trucks, beam clamps, lever hoists etc was also supplied on both projects.
The Baytown Refinery Expansion project in Houston Texas saw a number of explosion proof electric cranes being supplied.

The Gorgon LNG Project saw JBC supply 6 * 100Te Compressor House Bridge cranes through a UK Based engineering house back in 2011. The Gorgon project is operated by Chevron but is a JV with Exxon and Shell.
The Wheatstone project is on of Australia’s largest resource project. Working together with a Houston based engineering firm JBC have supplied a number of Explosion proof bridge and jib cranes together with monorail hoists.
The TCO/FGP project is an expansion of the Tengiz field and is a wellhead pressure management project. JBC are supplying a significant number of ex bridge cranes and jib cranes to the project through UK and Italy based engineering houses.

Stones FPSO
The Prelude FLNG Project saw JBC supply a number of Explosion proof Bridge cranes through a French engineering house back in 2011. In 2014/15 the topsides module was installed at the SHI yard in Korea. Recently the Prelude was towed to its final location off the North West Coast of Australia.The Nyhmana Gas processing
Plant expansion saw JBC supply 3 * 35/5Te Double Girder Explosion proof cranes back in 2013. The cranes were installed by our engineers at the plant, just north of Molde in Norway. The order was received through a well known Norwegian contractor.
The Stones FPSO was built at the Keppel Fels yard in Singapore. JBC supplied a number of our Sparkproof Manual & Pneumatic Trolley Hoists. The equipment was installed in Singapore in 2015. The order was received from SBM Offshore in Houston.

Hammerfest LNG
The Hammerfest LNG Project saw JBC supply a number of Explosion proof Bridge cranes through a German engineering house Linde, back in 2003.
The Gina Krog Offshore Project saw JBC supply a number of Explosion proof cranes back in 2013. The cranes were installed by our engineers at the DSME yard in Korea. The platform and operational offshore Norway.
The Mariner platform was built at the DSME yard in Korea. JBC supplied a number of our Explosion proof and safe area bridge cranes. The equipment was installed in Korea in 2015.

Ekofisk Platform
Conoco Phillips have over 40 years experience in operating and developing LNG facilities around the globe. Working with an engineering house in HoustonJBC supply a number of Explosion proof Bridge cranes, jib cranes and monorail hoists. The equipment was installed in Australia in 2014. AP LNG is now operational.
Eldfisk is an oilfield that also contains gas. It is the second largest of four producing fields in the greater Ekofisk area and one of the largest on the Norewgian continental shelf. 2 * 25Te Cranes have been installed on the Intervention deck.
A number of cranes have also been supplied on the Ekofisk 4/2 Z wellhead Platform. The cranes on the Eldfisk and Ekofisk platforms were installed in 2014.

JBC received the contract, from Aker Solutions, to supply a 25Te semi-goliath crane for the Skarv F.P.S.O. back in 2008. The semi-goliath crane was installed in a hazardous area classified “Zone 1”. Our engineers installed the crane at the Samsung yard in Korea.
Back in 2013 JBC received a contract award from Amec FW for the Clair Ridge Platform bound for the UK. The order was for a number of sparkproof manual cranes suitable for operation in a hazardous area. The cranes were installed at the SHI yard in Korea.
A number of cranes have also been supplied on the Khazzan Gas Processing plant in Oman. JBC received the order from Petrofac, who we have worked with now for over 20 years in the oil and gas industry.
