Teachers Day Teachers were touched by the love of children as they enthralled them with songs and flowers.

A special assembly was held in honour of all the teachers. ‘The importance of teachers in our

lives’ was the highlight of this gathering.

Throughout the day teachers were made to feel special. The staffroom was decorated with

wonderful messages and balloons and streamers. A postman was engaged for the Teachers Day

programme and postcards bearing messages from the students were delivered by him to the

teachers.

Teachers went back home feeling special and with fond memories of the day.

SIS CELEBRATES DUSSHERA Dussehra was celebrated with great zest and zeal at Sanjivani International School, Kharghar on

10th

and teachers along with the Principal, Mrs. Vrinda Malse then offered prayers to Ma Saraswati,

the Goddess of Knowledge .

The significance of the day was emphasized on the young children by the Principal during the

special assembly organized to celebrate the festival. The day was marked with songs and speech

on the auspicious festival. The effigy of Ravana was burnt, much to the delight of the students

who heartily applauded and cheered.

International School, Kharghar on 2nd

October, 2016 (Sunday). Following the ideals of Gandhiji,

students of SIS participated in ‘Shram daan’, wherein students volunteered to clean the school

premises. Through this act, they not only conveyed the message that ‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness’

but also that no work is inferior.

Diwali at SIS Diwali was celebrated in a grand way at Sanjivani

International School, Kharghar on 21st October, 2016. The

morning assembly gave the message of celebrating Diwali

in an eco-friendly way by lighting diyas instead of

polluting the air with crackers. It also spread the message

of making this Diwali more meaningful by sharing the

happiness of Diwali with the underprivileged people.

Students put up skits, performed dance and sang songs to

celebrate this festival of light. A spectacular Rangoli

competition among the four houses completed this day’s

celebration in a befitting way.

Hindi Divas We are proud of being Indians and respect and honour every aspect of Indianess. One aspect that

distinguishes us from the rest of the world is our national language –Hindi. Having its origin in

Sanskrit, Hindi is spoken by the majority of the population and therefore to bring out its

significance we celebrate 14th

September as Hindi Diwas.

A week long celebration comprising of songs, speech and poetry recitals was held at the school

which culminated with a great celebration at the end of the week. Poetry recitation competition

was held on this occasion which saw enthusiastic children reciting poems of famous Hindi poets.

The Winners…. Teaching has become one of the most complicated jobs today. It demands broad knowledge

of subject matter, curriculum and standards, enthusiasm, a caring attitude, and a love of

learning, knowledge of discipline and classroom management techniques and a desire to

make a difference in the lives of young people. With all these qualities required, it’s no

wonder that it’s hard to find great teachers…

Sanjivani International School can proudly claim that they have some of the best teachers

who are dedicated to their profession and in sharing knowledge and providing life

experiences to our students.

Therefore it is no surprise that some of our teachers are the proud recipients of ‘Best

Teacher Award’ this year.

Ms. Suvarna More : A warm, enthusiastic and caring person and teacher,

Ms. Suvarna has been with SIS since 2009. Demonstrating a strong

commitment towards her profession and school, she works tirelessly to

impart knowledge and values to the children. She was bestowed with the

Best Teacher Award on the occasion of Teachers Day this year by Navi

Mumbai’s ‘Major City Foundation’.

Ms. Leena Antony : An optimist with ‘Live and Let Live’ attitude, Ms.

Leena was rightfully selected for the Best Teacher Award By Maratha

Samaj, Kharghar. She says, “For me success is the sense of achievement. I

feel successful as a teacher, because I have inspired some, touched the

lives of a few and also instilled the love for Chemistry in many.”

Ms. Shivi Malhotra : She charms everyone with her endearing smile and

comforts the little ones with her presence. The pre- primary section adores her

for her loving ways and therefore it is no surprise that Ms. Shivi was selected

as the Best Teacher by Maratha Samaj, Kharghar, along with Ms. Leena

Antony.

Ms. Kranta Yadav : Ms. Kranta may come across as strict and stern,

but she is extremely pleasant and approachable. She ensures that her

students have learnt and comprehended everything that is taught. An

extremely sincere and self-disciplined, the Central Bank of India,

Kharghar Branch, selected her as the Best Teacher on the occasion

of Independence Day.
