A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never
reads lives only one’.

Reading is one of the fundamental skills a child needs to learn to
succeed in life. The more your child reads, the more new words will
find their way into their vocabulary. It gives them exposure to words
and phrases that they can use in their daily life. It also helps them
to adapt to the learning environment in classroom. It encourages a
thirst for knowledge as children learn more about the world around
them which invites in their curiosity to know more and ask
question. It enriches our life experience and provides substance for
thinking and makes no demand. Reading is an exercise for the
mind but doesn’t make any great demand on the mental power,
and is therefore soothing and comfortable. As parents and teachers
we need to foster our children’s love of reading, as they may be still
unaware of the benefit and the pleasure one derives from reading.
Upcoming Event:
annual day: The annual day at Sanjivani International School is a mega event, eagerly looked forward
to by children and parents alike. A unique theme is decided on and students tirelessly work
hard to get their acts right. No doubt that their performance is always received with
thunderous applause by the audience. Another unique fact about our Annual Day is that we
involve all our children as we believe that every child is talented and it only needs to be
honed and perfected. This year the Annual Day will be held on 16th December 2016 at the
Vishnudas Bhave Auditorium, Vashi. We eagerly look forward to your presence and co –
operation.

The Winners…. Teaching has become one of the most complicated jobs today. It demands broad knowledge
of subject matter, curriculum and standards, enthusiasm, a caring attitude, and a love of
learning, knowledge of discipline and classroom management techniques and a desire to
make a difference in the lives of young people. With all these qualities required, it’s no
wonder that it’s hard to find great teachers…
Sanjivani International School can proudly claim that they have some of the best teachers
who are dedicated to their profession and in sharing knowledge and providing life
experiences to our students.
Therefore it is no surprise that some of our teachers are the proud recipients of ‘Best
Teacher Award’ this year.
Ms. Suvarna More : A warm, enthusiastic and caring person and teacher,
Ms. Suvarna has been with SIS since 2009. Demonstrating a strong
commitment towards her profession and school, she works tirelessly to
impart knowledge and values to the children. She was bestowed with the
Best Teacher Award on the occasion of Teachers Day this year by Navi
Mumbai’s ‘Major City Foundation’.
Ms. Leena Antony : An optimist with ‘Live and Let Live’ attitude, Ms.
Leena was rightfully selected for the Best Teacher Award By Maratha
Samaj, Kharghar. She says, “For me success is the sense of achievement. I
feel successful as a teacher, because I have inspired some, touched the
lives of a few and also instilled the love for Chemistry in many.”
Ms. Shivi Malhotra : She charms everyone with her endearing smile and
comforts the little ones with her presence. The pre- primary section adores her
for her loving ways and therefore it is no surprise that Ms. Shivi was selected
as the Best Teacher by Maratha Samaj, Kharghar, along with Ms. Leena
Antony.
Ms. Kranta Yadav : Ms. Kranta may come across as strict and stern,
but she is extremely pleasant and approachable. She ensures that her
students have learnt and comprehended everything that is taught. An
extremely sincere and self-disciplined, the Central Bank of India,
Kharghar Branch, selected her as the Best Teacher on the occasion
of Independence Day.
