• Tier 3 Data Centre. Fully redundant power & cooling• Can sustain 72 hours power outage• Dual 10Gb connectivity – full resiliency thru entire path• Network Core & Distribution layers – scalable• Future expansion can be geographically separate• Hosts Vision and Provys for SPT EMEA

MC: Core IT Infrastructure Deliverables

• The technical infrastructure will:

• Generate approx. 1TB per day of transcoded content

• Include 180 TB of disk storage and 2.1PB of tape storage

• receive approx. 1TB inbound data per day

• Generate 1.6TB of new content will be transferred to playout, per day (this includes approx. 365GB/day of content to non-linear platforms)

Within Golden Square there will be new work areas developed

Media Centre components will be used by staff in Golden Square, Budapest and Madrid.

MC must interface with other applications & systems hosted elsewhere within SPE

Media Centre – what do we know today? What will IT deliver?

Build the Data Centre Network Infrastructure - ensure interoperability with the rest of the SPE network

Amend/upgrade the Golden Square office network

Ensure sufficient connectivity to & from Media Centre

Allow for future expansion

Build the Data Centre! Space, power, equipment racks, cabling etc..

Provide ongoing support

Media Centre – Next Steps for IT?

What are the actual data centre power, space & cabling requirements?

Refine IT scope further!

What are the exact locations of the users?

What are the client requirements per location?

What are the projected future changes?

Obtain vendor quotes for network Bill of Material + hosting setup and recurring charges

Refine IT infrastructure delivery timeline (see next page for estimated)
