An Overview of George

Washington’s LifeGeorge Washington was the first President of

the United States of America. In 1754, Washington led the attack that started the

French and Indian War. In 1755 Washington was appointed as the commander of the

Continental Army and helped the United States win the Revolutionary War. To this day,

Washington’s legacy lives on and he is the face that is on the one dollar bill.
