Call for corrections to "Richland County Cemeteries": Having been appointed chairman forthe cemetery committee, I would like to begin to keep a listing of known corrections. If youwould like to assist the cemetery committee in some way, please let me know. Mail toCemetery Committee, Richland County Genealogical Society, P.O. Box 3823, Mansfield, OH44907-0823.

The Richland County-Shelby Chapter is selling "Shelby Oakland Cemetery and Most PureHeart of Mary Catholic Cemetery Records." This 288 page hardbound book containsapproximately 12,000 burials, maps, and an every-name index. Records begin in the early1800s up to December 31, 1988. Records were taken from tombstones, burial permits, andthe cemetery ledger book. The books will be available in mid-January. The cost is $30.00plus $l 73 Ohio sales tax and $3.00 shipping for the first book and $1.00 for each additional.Send orders and payment to Richland County - Shelby Chapter, OGS; P.O. Box 766 Shelby,oH 44875

OSBUN REUNION AND HOMECOMING

Plans are being made to restore the Osbun - Pittenger Cemetery this year, to honor thememory of Betty Osbun Rogers in appreciation for all her years of dedicated genealogicalresearch on these and other families. A fund is being started for a monument. Secondly, theyare updating the material she had prepared, to bring it up to date. If you are a member of thesefamilies, they would like you to add any births, deaths and marriages, changes of address, etc.Please send information to Mary Lou Fike, 1546 Twp. Rd. 1353, Ashland OH 44805.

The reunion and homecoming are planned for July 7-9, 1995 with a hospitality roomFriday night. Pictures and memorabilia will be displayed. A dinner and program is planned atthe Masonic Temple for Saturday evening. Other plans are being made for Saturday. Afterchurch on Sunday, they will gather at the "Bed & Breakfast at Willow Pond" in Epworth. Thelocation is adjacent to the original Osbun land. After lunch the group will congregate at theOsbun-Pittenger cemetery to dedicate the monument to Betty's memory. If you would like moreinformation, please write to Mary Lou at the above address.
