Cecile Tremewan, New Zealand, [email protected] - I’ve FINALLY booked my reservations for the reunion and now need to book a hotel. In one of the newsletters , Jimmy (Small) said which hotel he was staying at so I thought that I’d try to book in there as well. Problem is, I can’t find that particular newsletter for the info. Can you send me his email ?
Allows me to tell you that Jimmy and wife and Cecile are staying at the Best Western Salinas Valley Inn & Suites 1-831-751-6411 on Kern Street. They have 20 single king rooms at this time. Friday price is $98.10 and Sat. price is

Hmmm……WHAT TO WEAR? WHATHmmm……WHAT TO WEAR? WHATHmmm……WHAT TO WEAR? WHATHmmm……WHAT TO WEAR? WHAT TO WEAR? TO WEAR? TO WEAR? TO WEAR?
You men have been querying me about the appropriate attire for the gala.
So I'm here to help. I'll be your dresser, OK?
I went through some senior year Viking Saga newspaper ads to give you some ideas of your options. I also found some other helpful wardrobe style images to share
with you, knowing many of you prefer pictures books.
Now these are just suggestions of course, and just like when you and your prom date would share what matching color her corsage and your tie should be, I just know this is going to help you. No need to thank me right now……you can thank me later.
Except for a few formal events in our lives, this is a rare occasion for ladies to wear your
Men will know how to dress accordingly. And I'm going to help you.
That's not saying for you to all dress alike
No need to buy a new pair of peggers.
That's your everyday wear to look just like your NSHS peeps, and not stand out from the crowd at school
Scrap that tux ….and the corsage. At $55 a suit…it could break the bank.
Her baubles, bangles and beads Will most likely clash with your favorite sweatshirt
Go ahead. Liberally slather yourself with your favorite
cologne, gel, foam, hair product, or cooling balm from your medicine cabinet
You'll be just fine. Know what I mean?

Remembering
Constante Agbannawag
1946 - 1999
Hi there! Yes, I am the daughter of Constante. As you may know, he passed away in 1999. But his spirit still lives strong in all of us. His family still lives in Salinas. He also has a son, Constante Joseph (CJ) who is a college student in Arizona. I am his eldest and only daughter. I reside in Hawaii and think of him often. It's always nice to hear from his friends who knew him well, so thank you for reaching out to me. Antonia Agbannawag
*A remembrance from you shared with his family through Antonia would be most welcomed. She is on facebook.

Jim McGauhey,Tulalip, WA, [email protected] I ran the air race with friend Norman. Now we can say we are Air Racers!! I got 2nd place. OK, that’s in my division and there were only 2 planes in my division and we were the slowest division out of 15 planes
(yeah, I was the slowest of all the planes).
We averaged 123.1 mph; the #1 plane in category was the same Cessna 172, same engine, but 9 years newer and they averaged 123.6 mph; very close.
It was more like a car rally than a race. They started fastest planes first (247 mph) to minimize passing for safety. There were 6 legs around a 148 mile circle; we did the course in about 72 minutes.

I just had my flight physical and my bi-annual flight review with an instructor; so I’m good to fly for another 2 years. I’d be very interested to hear what’s on other ’64 grads bucket lists. Seems like travel to certain areas is high on the list and many are doing that.
Hopefully EVERYONE has the on their list! Let’s all scratch that one off together this October! See you then.

Are you a leftAre you a leftAre you a leftAre you a leftyyyy????
Cecile Tremewan, New Zealand, [email protected] I was born left-handed and went to school as a “ lefty”. Unfortunately in those days the school system didn’t allow for left-handers and we were changed over to being right-handed. I can remember that there were five of us in first grade that were sat in the back of the room and given rubber balls to squeeze with our right hands to
strengthen them. I started school in the Watsonville School District. I wonder if it was a statewide policy or just specific to that school district. Has anyone else of our classmates had the same experience?
Jim Small, Rathdrum Idaho, [email protected].. I am left handed, but can hold a beer or fish with either hand. Hope you had a good 4th. Spent the weekend on the river fishing with all my family, sitting by the fire, telling stories, and floating the river had a good time.
Don Ricci, Las Vegas, [email protected] As a young boy, my older left-handed sister taught me, a righty, to play baseball. To this day I do everything (including golf) right-handed with the one exception, I still bat lefty only. Strange.
Roger Schultz , Rohnert Park CA, [email protected] All my life. RDS
Paul Whitney, Mexico, [email protected] - I'm a leftie. I heard that everyone is born right-handed, but the truly great people learn to overcome it. P
Larry Mathisen, Fresno, [email protected] - raising my left hand, I think.
Notice Larry at a very young age, fishing with his left hand
Sandy Cain, Shelton WA, [email protected] - I am ambidextrous, which means I use both. I mainly eat and write left handed but can easily use the right also. I play softball right handed etc.
Gail Townsend, Kindred ND, [email protected] - My brother, Jerry, and my son, Karl, are lefties. I am a rightie.
. Harold Hanson, Fairfax, VA, [email protected] "Not me."
Franco Bernardi , Visalia, [email protected] - "What ?"
