With our DDoS Protection service, your Evolve Internet service can be protected and secured. This means traffic will be re-routed to the ‘cleaner’ within the Optus Network. Only the ‘cleaned’ traffic will then be routed back to your network – preventing the entire network from being paralysed.

A non-network based DDoS mitigation solution will not work effectively during a large scale volumetric attack, as the incoming traffic will be fully saturated by the attack traffic. Our optional DDoS protection provides

24/7 monitoring, detection and mitigation, with features either initiated automatically or by your team through a remote portal access. The stringent network design can provide a powerful, highly resilient and quick response DDoS Protection solution.

Once DDoS Protection detects a DDoS attack, the attack is localised within the Optus Network. This reduces the impact of the attack and facilitates a faster normalisation of traffic flow. Automatic mitigation will be initiated when any one of the following protocol misuse threshold is detected.
