What is a classroom?
Indicators to be met
1000 classroom in 4 years
Timeline

Classroom =
class of learners
Many teachers are “nomads” in their school - they go from classroom to classroom to teach
... and sometimes students change classrooms many times a day
December 2010 7iTEC - Designing the future classroom
Classroom =
class of learners
(1) Teacher teaches the same subject to two different age groups of learners:
math to 12-13 year olds => 1 class in iTEC math to 15-16 year olds => 1 class in iTEC

(2) Teachers teaches 2 math classes in the same year but of differing abilities:
math to a normal class 12-13 year olds => 1 class in iTEC
math to an advanced 12-13 year olds => 1 class in iTEC

Teacher needs to fill in one evaluation questionnaire/class!
We do not recommend more than 2 classes/teacher/cycle!

17
2 experienced teachers/2 months/all countries
Rapid feedback loop to developers via teacher community
Evaluation of the pedagogical value
Decision to go large-scale
18
Evaluation of pedagogical value will help reduce the number of prototypes
2 -3 scenarios selected for piloting
Timeline pilots
