your way to the arrivals hall. A member from our andBeyond

team will collect you from Julius Nyerere International Airport

and drive you to The Oyster Bay, in time to meet your onward

arrangements. (Approximately 1 hour)

Unwind during your 1 night stay at The Oyster Bay in a Room

with ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes all meals and drinks.

The regal Oyster Bay Hotel is situated in the bustling city of Dar

es Salaam. Luxurious suites boast spectacular ocean views. Each

suite has a contemporary African theme and boasts a plush bed,

beautiful ensuite bathroom, air conditioning, a ceiling fan,

television and lovely French doors that open onto a private

balcony.

Delicious meals are served in the stylish dining area, or al fresco

on the veranda or pool deck. An inviting study area offers guests

the opportunity to catch up on emails or an unfinished book,

while a sparkling swimming pool provides a cool refuge to

indulge in a refreshing Pimm’s whilst soaking up the warm

Tanzanian sun.

Day 2 - 5

A member from our andBeyond team will collect you from The

Oyster Bay and drive you to Dar es Salaam Domestic Terminal,

in time to meet your onward arrangements. (Approximately 1

hour)

Depart on a scheduled flight from Dar es Salaam Domestic

Terminal to Lower Selous Airstrip.

Secluded and off the beaten track, the Selous Game Reserve

offers visitors a slice of undisturbed wilderness, teeming with a

spectacular array of fauna and flora. It was declared a World

Heritage Site due to its dramatic landscapes and great diversity

of wildlife.

You will be collected from Lower Selous Airstrip by one of our

andBeyond team for your transfer to Beho Beho Camp.

Escape and explore during your 4 night stay at Beho Beho in a

Thatched Cottage with ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes all

meals, drinks, laundry, airstrip transfers, all game activities on

foot, by boat and by 4WD using the camp’s vehicles.

Beho Beho

Selous Game Reserve, Tanzania

Situated in the cooler highlands of the renowned Selous Game

Reserve is Beho Beho — an intimate wilderness retreat that

offers its guests exceptional wildlife encounters through a

variety of safari adventures. Open-air bandas boast a

comfortable bed, Zanzibari day-bed and ceiling fans. The front

of the banda opens onto a lovely veranda and can be secured

for the evening with ‘tented curtains’. A lovely ensuite

bathroom offers ‘his and hers’ basins and an al fresco shower.

Dining is a sumptuous affair at Beho Beho. Guests can tuck into

wholesome meals, which are not confined to the main dining

area of the camp. A sparkling swimming pool and an inviting bar

area with a billiards table add to guest delight. Bush dining,

picnics or private dining in the Eagle’s Nest can be arranged.

Adventures include game drives, walking safaris (with walks to

the hot springs of Maji Moto) and boating safaris on Lake

Tagalala.

WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT BEHO BEHO

Spend a morning exploring Lake Tagalala by boat,

followed by a scrumptious breakfast under a shady

tree — ask your hosts to take you to the nearby hot

springs after breakfast.

Order your favourite sundowner accompanied by a

Day 6 - 9

You will be transferred from Beho Beho Camp to Lower

Selous airstrip for your scheduled flight to Abeid Amani Karume

International Airport.

Zanzibar is an island steeped in culture and history - a

destination which brought adventurers, seafarers and traders

from far and wide.

You will be met at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport by

a member of our andBeyond team and be driven to the Mnemba

crossing point (approximately 1 hour) to meet your onward boat

transfer to andBeyond Mnemba Island (approximately 25

minutes).

Be spoilt at andBeyond Mnemba Island during your 4 night stay

in a Zanzibari Banda with ensuite bathroom with shower only.

Your stay includes three meals daily, soft drinks, house wines,

local brand spirits, water sport including scuba diving (2 dives

per day - full PADI certification required), stand-up paddle

boarding (all activities ) and return Zanzibar Airport transfers.

andBeyond Mnemba Island offers a sheer unpretentious

paradise – just ten rustic palm-frond bandas sit nestled in a

tropical casuarina pine forest fringed by a white coral sand

beach. Cooling ocean breezes waft in through glass-free

windows that are open to the elements. A covered walkway

leads to a shuttered ensuite bathroom with huge glass beaded

shower. Built-in barazas on the veranda are perfect for

afternoon siestas and private beach salas feature traditional

Zanzibari loungers for languid hours on the beachfront.

Thatched dining and sitting / bar areas have beautiful open

views of the beach. Baskets of fresh fruit, fish, lobsters, crabs

and prawns are sailed into Mnemba daily on traditional ngalawa

outriggers. Romantic candlelit dinners are served on the beach

with the waves gently lapping at one’s feet. Private beach

dinners delight newlyweds and not-so newlyweds alike.

WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT ANDBEYOND MNEMBA ISLAND

One lazy afternoon, ask one of the staff members to

teach you how to play Mbao – a traditional wooden

board game.

During a full or new moon, be sure to take a walk along

the beach at low tide, when the whole atoll is

exposed.

Watch turtles lay their eggs on Mnemba’s sandy shores.

This happens year round, however, the laying season

peaks between January and August and hatchings take

place approximately two months later. This is a

definite must-see!

You will be transferred by boat from andBeyond Mnemba Island

Lodge to the crossing point (approximately 25 minutes). An

andBeyond team member will drive you to Abeid Amani Karume

International Airport (approximately 1 hour).

Depart for your scheduled flight from Abeid Amani Karume

International Airport to Dar es Salaam Domestic Terminal.

Despite its name, which means abode of peace in Arabic, Dar

es Salaam is Tanzania's largest and busiest city. It is the

country's most FIXant business and commercial hub and is

situated right on the Indian Ocean.

A member from our andBeyond team will collect you from Dar

es Salaam Domestic Terminal and drive you to Julius Nyerere

International Airport, in time to meet your onward

arrangements. (Approximately 5 minutes).
