To Create a Virtual Tour of the famous ancient theatres across the globe.
Drama has laid the foundation for the evolution of different genres of English Literature like
the novel or the short story. In the days before the invention of printing, drama was the chief
source of entertainment and had an extraordinary importance. The world's greatest works
of Literature in many languages have been dramas. Drama consists of 6 elements: plot,
character, thought, diction, music and spectacle. This can be showcased through the medium
of theatre.
Theatre is a collaborative form of performing art that uses live performers, typically actors
or actresses, to present the experience of a real or imagined event before a live audience in a
specific place, often a stage. The performers may communicate this experience to the
audience through combinations of gesture, speech, song, music, and dance. Elements of art,
such as painted scenery and stagecraft such as lighting are used to enhance the physicality,
presence and immediacy of the experience.
INSTRUCTIONS :
• Create a Virtual Tour of the famous Ancient Theatre by making a presentation as
allotted to your Class Section given below :
• You need to make at least 8-12 slides to explain the following details related to the ancient
theatre.
▪ History of its Origin
▪ Location
▪ Capacity
▪ Architecture
▪ Stagecraft
▪ Importance of Masks
▪ Relevance to Modern Day Theatre
• You need to give your VOICE OVER to the Presentation to make it look like a proper
guided tour of the theatre.
• You can use any app like MS Powerpoint / Canva / Prezi / Pixton etc. to make the
Presentation.

MATHEMATICS
Task-1 :Art Integration (Colouring - The Four Colour Theorem)
This activity is about colouring, but don't think it's very simple. This investigation will lead
to one of the most famous theorems of mathematics and some very interesting results.
Have you ever coloured in a pattern and wondered how many colours you need to use?
There is only one rule
Two sections that share a common edge cannot be coloured the same!
Having a common corner is OK, just not an edge.
Let's start with a simple pattern like a group of nine squares:
First one has been done for you…..
How many colours do you need to colour the pattern of nine squares?
You could use nine different colours, but could make do with as few as two (as shown
above)
A Little More Complicated
What about this one?
How many colours do you need this time?
Try it ... then write your answer________
You could use four different colours, or you could make do with just three.
But you couldn't colour this pattern with just two colours. Try to explore why?
Class X (5)
Even More Complicated
Let's try another:
How many colors do you need this time?
Nine? Eight? Seven? Six? Five? Four?
Try it yourself. Write your answer is____.
Maps
This could get a bit more interesting if we wanted to colour a map.
A map may not work when a country has two or more separate areas, such as Alaska (part
of the US, but with Canada in-between) or Kaliningrad (part of Russia, but also not joined).
But let's ignore that here.
Here is a map of part of Europe, showing nine countries and how they border on each other:
Try colouring in the map and see what the fewest number of colours is you need.
Four Colours
It seems that any pattern or map can always be coloured with four colours.
In some cases, like the first example, we could use fewer than four. In many cases we could
use a lot more colours if we wanted to, but a maximum of four colours is enough!
This result has become one of the most famous theorems of mathematics and is known as
The Four Colour Theorem.
Class X (6)
So why is it important?
It is important because it was first stated in 1852 but was not proved until 1976. For over one
hundred and twenty years some of the best mathematical brains in the world were
unsuccessful in proving one of the simplest theorems in mathematics. There were many false
proofs, and a whole new branch of mathematics - known as Graph Theory - was developed
to try to solve the theorem. But nobody could prove it until in 1976 Appel and Haken proved
the theorem with the aid of a computer.
Some people think that, although their proof was correct, it was cheating to use a computer.
What do you think?
A Map Can Be Changed!
Now look again at our previous two examples:
Can you see the similarity between these two diagrams?
Imagine the map of European countries was drawn on a piece of rubber that could be
stretched. By stretching and skewing the piece of rubber in a certain way, you could end up
with the circular diagram.
We say they are homoeomorphic.
That's a big word, but a very simple idea: one can become the other.
It also forms part of a huge branch of mathematics known as Topology.
One More: US States
Class X (7)
Here is one for you to try on your own ... the "contiguous" (meaning all touching) United
States (no Alaska or Hawaii).
Can you color it using only 4 colors?
Task-2
The Data regarding the covid-19 Exponential Explosion of a particular zone for 28 days is
given below.
Number of Days Number of covid-19 cases
Less than 4 10
Less than 8 35
Less than 12 52
Less than 16 82
Less than 20 130
Less than 24 200
Less than 28 315
Draw the less than type frequency curve (less than ogive) for the above data. Find the
median from the graph and verify your answer by actual calculations.

SCIENCE
Decoding Indoor Air Quality during Covid-19 Lockdown
The lockdown period due to Covid19 has left many positive impacts on mother earth. The
nature is healing -the rivers are getting pollution free, air quality has improved ,the birds and
animals are rejoicing. Now, its time to analyse the indoor air quality and take steps to improve
it . Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) refers to the air quality within and around buildings and
structures, especially as it relates to the health and comfort of building occupants. Some health
effects may show up shortly after a single exposure or repeated exposures to a pollutant.
Sometimes the treatment is simply eliminating the person's exposure to the source of the
pollution, if it can be identified. Soon after exposure to some indoor air pollutants, symptoms
of some diseases such as asthma may show up, be aggravated or worsened. Understanding
and controlling common pollutants indoors can help reduce your risk of indoor health
concerns. The given figure represents the parts numbered 1,2,3…. of a typical household.
You need to take following steps in this project and prepare a report on the same.
Step 1: Identify the sources of indoor air pollution that you find around you in each
numbered area of the house
Step 2: List the areas along with the pollutants present there( Example: 3. Bathroom:
Aerosol spray ,deodorants) and what impact they may have on human health.
Step 3: Prepare a room wise plan to improve the indoor air quality .

(ECONOMICS)
Project 2 : COMPULSORY CBSE PROJECT: CONSUMER AWARENESS /
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
1. CONSUMER AWARENESS (For Odd Roll numbers)
Any person who buys goods and services for personal consumption and not for
commercial purpose or resale is called a consumer. Consumers form the largest economic
group in any country. They are the pivots of all economic activities. However, the world has
seen the rising issues of consumer exploitation in various forms. Hence, there lies a dire need
to regard the interest of the consumers.
Consumers in today’s world are trapped in the cycle of demonstration effect and heavy
consumerism. Demonstration effects are effects on the behavior of individuals caused by
observation of the actions of others and their consequences. While Consumerism is a social
and economic order that encourages an acquisition of goods and services in ever-increasing
amounts.
This project work will guide you to become an aware consumer and rightly make you
the king of the market.
Students with odd roll numbers will prepare a project on the above topic
Type: Research based
Project title: Tracking the factors affecting the Consumer Behavior
- Analyze the factors that play a key role in determining the consumption pattern of
individuals
- Identify the impact of COVID-19 on consumption choices
- Infer the relationship between consumer choice and the actions taken by the
company/brand during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
- Relate the significance of Consumer Rights and awareness to make the consumer the real
king in the market

2. THE DICOTOMY BETWEEN ECONOMIC GROWTH AND GREEN
ECONOMY (For even Roll no.s)
The conflict between economic development and environmental degradation is not a new
buzzing topic. The roots of sustainability is laid back in the history. The concept of
sustainability is rather expanding. This is prevalent in the fact that when the entire world has
come to a standstill with the spread of COVID19, with cutting down of production there has
been an incredible positive effect on the environment. The global concern for achieving
sustainable development is reflected in the pinning of this issue as a United Nations
Sustainable Development Goal (Goal 13: Climate Action).
This project will allow learners to be socially aware of their environment and ponder
upon ways for India to achieve the SDG by 2030.
Students with Even roll numbers will prepare a project on the above topic
Type: Research based
Project title: Dichotomy between economic growth and green economy
A. Introduction- It will include the following
• Meaning of economic development and economic growth
• Significance of green economy
• Impact of lockdown – a blessing or a bane?
• Suggest some innovative ways to achieve the SDG by 2030.
