of project development. Our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) differs based on the size, cost,

time of each project so that it enables us to provide cost-effective and efficient solution. Top

management personnel at IPL Solution Ltd. Constantly review all the processes and make necessary

changes according to the changing requirements and time. The phases of the SDLC followed by IPL

are in accordance with the internationally accepted standards.

The development approach that will be followed to meet the requirements of this project is as

follows

Requirement Collection & Specification

Requirement Specification is the next and most important phase of the SDLC after Planning and

Staff Assignment. During this phase our System Analyst will be in constant contact with the Client to

find out the requirements of the project in details. Main tasks in this phase include Requirement

Determination, Risk Analysis, Setting up Schedules, and Deciding Deliverables. The Project

Leader/Coordinator or the Analyst will set the appointments.

11 | P a g e

A System Requirement Specification (SRS) will be prepared at the end of this phase which will be

reviewed and the final copy will be signed by both parties ( Developer& Client) to set up the system

boundary and to record the actual requirements of the project explicitly so that both parties can

understand whether the actual requirements have been communicated and understood.

Requirement Analysis and Design

The actual development of the system will start at this stage. System Analyst with his/her team will

then review the SRS and design Architecture, Database Design, Program Specifications and Test

Scenarios. A Detail Design Document will be prepared at the end of analysis that can be used by the

programmers to perform coding.

Coding and Testing

The Programmers will begin programming in this phase using the Detail Design Document. As

project progresses, programmer’s progress will be monitored by the Project Leader and Analyst

Programmer. The programmers will follow coding standards decided by the company. Relatively

small changes may occur in the database and or front-end design to help Programmers in efficient

coding and QA

Testing such as unit testing will be done by the Programmer at this phase. Rest of the Testing will be

done by the QA (Tester) Team simultaneously for the finished modules and approval will be given

to the modules once they have passed their initial tests.

Deployment and Support

This phase starts with Deployment of the Project. Initial set-up of the hardware and all the software

platforms necessary to run the project is set up at this stage. Project Leader will send Support

Executives to the Client end to ensure complete and successful set-up of hardware and software and

the software will be handed over to the client for User testing.
