Progress Tests

Since 201718 our medical students have sat progress tests We thought it would be helpful to share a little bitabout these examinations with you

What is a progress test

A progress test is best viewed as part of a series rather than an individual exam Each test covers the entirety ofa Stage within the curriculum with the intention of allowing students to benchmark and determine their progress

during the course It also allows for the medical school to see how students are progressing and for someprogress tests to contribute to annual progression decisions to the next academic year and to determine pass orfail of modulesThe expectation of progress testing is that during a Stage the marks for each student will rise over

time as your knowledge grows

Herersquos a 2 minute YouTube video clip you can watch by a Dutch Medical Educationalist explainingthem httpsmyoutubecomwatchv=Mc_-fVmEf1M

Clinical HumanitiesThe year 2 Friday students all exhibited their humanities projects at Somerset house on Wed 19th June It was afantastic exhibition really demonstrating how the students had embraced using humanities to give themselvesreal depth of insight into their patients lives We enclose some photos
