The program at a glance:A very diverse student body, in terms of backgrounds and nationalitiesClose links with international organizations and NGOsDual emphasis on theory and practice throughout the curriculumFlexibility: a single degree program that offers a choice between two specialization areas

Why a Master in International Business at IUM?The Master in International Business (MIB) has been developed in response to the critical need to educate and prepare pragmatic, compassionate, and professionally adept international citizens.

The MIB seeks to provide graduates with the skills and knowledge to succeed in an increasingly fast-paced, highly competitive and complex world. It opens the way to two different specialization areas: one which deals with international trade issues and the other which concerns global affairs.

This program attracts students with very different backgrounds: business, political science, history, economics, etc. which turns the classroom into a very enriching place.

“The Master in International Business, with its two specialization areas in trade and on global affairs, offers students the opportunity to stay abreast of current developments in the global landscape. The program emphasizes a rich, pragmatic educational experience covering a range of disciplines taught by renowned faculty and practitioners.

Graduates will possess the knowledge and tools they will need to pursue careers in international business, international organizations, NGOs, and diplomatic affairs. It is a unique opportunity and an enriching experience for students who wish to stand out as multicultural graduates, in the field that they have chosen: trade or global affairs.”

Diverse international careers, one common sensitiveness

With an emphasis on key economic and policy challenges – globalization issues, sustainable development, corporate social responsibility, geopolitics, new emerging markets, etc.- , the MIB prepares graduates for careers in both domestic and international business as well as in international institutions such as global nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, nongovernmental organizations and foreign affairs agencies.

Vlada Botanovic, MIBGA 2010Area Sales Manager at GEOX

“It was a fantastic experience to be part of such an Interna-tional environment and to be able to share experiences with students coming from all over the globe.

One of my best memories at IUM was the time spent with my team mates during group exercises as I learnt a lot on how to cope with various personalities and conflicts of interest in order to find compromise solutions in the end.I learned much about how businesses developed in-ternationally, how multinational organizations op-erate, how to best apply efficient decision-making processes and all this while further developing my interpersonal skills. While studying I have surely made best use of the Monaco business environment and rich nightlife to make new friends, future business contacts that are surely going to be useful sometime in the future. Not to mention the fun I had while playing waterpolo for the local team. The skills I learned at IUM are certainly becoming more useful now speaking from a professional point of view as an Area Sales Manager for GEOX with 8 countries in Eastern Europe under my responsibility. All in all IUM was a great launching ramp for my ca-reer definitely and I thank all the teachers and staff for their support, especially my program director Mrs. Rinaldi and the career office“
