While the first IH-6 was launched in 2008, its concept and features have been established over 30 years of vessel development, resulting in a highly-usable hovercraft that is simple to transport, operate and maintain.

The versatility of this hovercraft is second-to-none, with unique and innovative features that allow it to be used in harsh environments and for multiple roles. Gone are the days of hovercraft being expensive to buy, expensive to maintain and giving unreliable service. The IH-6 Multi-Purpose Hovercraft has been designed to offer a low-cost amphibious

solution for any organization, whether for passenger or cargo transportation or even if used for patrol or Coast Guard duties. With over 30 vessels built to date, the reliability is well-proven and has been tested in the harshest Scandinavian winter conditions. Its small size and agile manoeuvring allow it to reach even the most inaccessible locations and the addition of an optional road trailer for rapid hover-on, hover-off deployment means that the IH-6 can be launched from almost any location. The large port side door is designed to enable easy loading of cargo or, in an emergency situation, to load a stretcher for any casualty evacuation condition. The cabin can be outfitted to suit customer requirements with almost any equipment required.
