    I. Development of PTSA

    The Philippines has been one of the pioneers indeveloping the TSA

    1988: NSCB & DOT collaborated on aresearch study using the input-output tableto estimate contribution of tourism to GDP

    1996: DOT, WTTC & NSCB startedcollaboration to develop a SAT using theWTTC-WEFA model

    December 5, 1996: NSCB and DOT signeda MOA to support the development of PTSA

    1999: NSCB and DOT pursued the initialcompilation of the PTSA covering theyears 1994 and 1998
