I want you to feel completely confident about what is going to happen from the moment you call us to the day we delivery your order to you. We take great pride in the services we provide to give you the ulti-mate experience when you have your session with us.

Now that you know a little bit about the B in J and B Photography, I want to tell you a little bit about the J. Jerry is my partner in life and in the business. My husband is the behind the scenes guy as well as my primary assistant. He is a very funny guy and is invaluable at getting my senior boys and dads to loosen up. He says it has to do with some male dna makeup that they under-stand what the other is thinking without saying a word. Jerry is also really good at predicting what I am going to want him to do or what I am going to need, before I even know sometimes.

I am excited about many of the things that are going to occur this year for our studio. For the last few years I have photographed my families in my living room, in their homes, and other locations. We are working diligently on obtaining our own studio and hope to have it completed by mid year. While most of my families prefer location shoots, I really feel it is important that we have a studio so we can create amazing images indoors. This is important in Nebraska where the weather changes every five minutes. I am also finally extremely pleased with the vendors I work with to bring you the highest quality of products. The images we create should be produced on the finest materials and of the highest quality.

Welcome to J and B Photography. My name is Becky Meyer and I am the primary photographer for the studio. Photographer is too broad of a word for who I really am. What I really am is a capturer of smiles and memories. I am an artist that creates heirlooms for genera-tions. I am the “silly lady” behind the camera when I need everyone to relax and have fun. These are just a few of the hats I wear, and that is why I don’t feel that “photographer” really describes what I do.

I designed this magazine for a couple of reasons. The first reason was to showcase what we can provide for your family. Within these pages you will find information about the dif-ferent type of sessions we provide. The second


BABY, OH BABY!Preparing for your Newborn Session

Babies will retain that “newborn curl” for ten to twelve days after birth. If you

want baby to have that bottom up, moldable, and sleepy look please schedule your ses-sion for within that 10 - 14 day period. No worries though if you are unable to schedule during that time. We may have to take more time waiting for baby to sleep. Baby is the boss of these sessions and that is why we schedule 3 hours for a newborn session. It may only take one hour and it may take 3 to allow cuddle time or feeding time.

We prefer to do newborn sessions in your home. Baby is more comfortable because they are in familiar surroundings. We only need a small area to photography newborns. Also, since we are in your home we can also include images in the nursery you have worked so hard on getting ready for your new bundle of joy. We use a bean bag for posing which we will bring along with a few props. We encourage you to gather items to include in the photos that represent your baby. The blanket that grandma made, a stuffed animal from your sister, uniforms, sports equipment, anything that showcases your family. Many if not most of your images will be of your baby with no clothes on. Clothes on babys distract from baby and hides their teeny tiny size. To make baby comfortable please turn the heat up in your home to 80 degrees. Yes, you and I will be warm, but baby will be perfectly comfortable. Also, because baby will be unclothed, there is a 99.9% chance that baby will either pee or poo. Please do not let this concern you. We bring with us pads to place around where baby will be and we do laundry after every session. Trust me, we are more surprised when we don’t have little messes to clean up.

Please plan to wear dark clothing for the images we will take with you and baby. Moms, dark clothing and the way we pose you will help conceal any areas you may be uncomfortable with right after giving birth. Dark clothing also provides a wonderful backdrop for baby when we pose them near you. We do also love doing skin on skin images. These are all things we talk about with you during your consultation. During your consultation we will also provide you with a checklist to help you prepare for your session. We certainly remember what it was like having a newborn at home and we want your preparation for your session to be easy and stress free.


The Milestones Baby Plan includes sessions for newborn, 4 months, 8 months and one year. We feel this time frame is ideal because baby

should be at certain milestones at these points. At 4 months baby should be able to hold their head up on their own while laying on their tummy. They are also responding to your voice and noises around them. At 8 months baby should be able to sit up on their own and will be crawling or very close to crawling. At one year baby should be standing either by themselves or with the aid of holding on to something.

Celebrate your pregnancy! The one thing I regret the most is I have no good pregnancy images. All I have is horrible snapshots of me at bad

angles that do not show how truly beautiful the baby bump is. We can ensure you never have those same regrets. We would be honored to capture you, your beautiful baby bump, and that wonderful pregnancy glow. Our maternity session includes a session devoted to you. We also encourage you to include dad and your existing children.

Milestones Baby Program


Little Graduate ProgramOur Litte Graduate Program is designed to capture your child as they

are growing from their first year until they begin school. Sessions included in this program are 18 months, then 2 years - 5 years. These sessions are approximately thirty minutes long and can include two outfit changes.

Limited EditionsThroughout the year we offer Limited Editions.

These sessions are themed sessions and are a lot of fun for your children ages 1-7. Depending on the theme they may be in the studio or at a fun location. Some of our favorite sessions that we do every year are First Communion, Just Like Daddy, Mommy and Me, and Fairy Portraits. This year we will be doing a Santa Charity. Santa will come visit the studio and we will donate the session fee to a local charity. Some of the other themes we are working on for this year are Cowboys and Cowgirls, Halloween, Monkeys Jumping on the Bed, and School Photos that Rock. FamiliesOur primary goal is to create beautiful artwork for the

walls of your home showcasing your beautiful and unique family. A family session with us includes the large group, and then smaller breakdowns of the family. We want your portraits to showcase your relationships with each other together and individually. During your consultation we will talk about things like what to wear, the decor or your home, and how you plan on displaying these pieces of art. If you have a formal room, then naturally the portait hanging there should be something formal. If it is going to hang in your family room, then we will want to create something more fun and casual. These are all things you should consider when planning your session. We will help you every step of the way.


Seniors


THIS IS YOUR MOMENT IN TIME!Senior year marks the end of one road and the beginning of another. Your senior portraits are a lasting memory for you, your classmates, and your family. They capture your spirit and individuality at that exact moment in time ~the time between childhood and adulthood ~ the time before you take that big step into the world.

We understand how important it is to you and your parents to capture this moment and preserve it for a lifetime.

All senior sessions inclde a pre-consultation. This gives us the opportunity to get to know you, and learn about what you want to incorporate into you session to emphasize your individuality. During the consultation we will discuss every aspect of what to expect, what to wear, and tips to ensure you have a wonderful session.

Project SeniorProject Senior is our vamped up referral program. Gone are the days of asking a senior to come in for a portrait session and then ask them to hand out referral card. How boring is that? We decided to kick it up a few notches and make it fun for our representatives.

Our senior coordinator is responsible for inviting 4 friends to join them in an all day photo session. This session includes many different locations, transportation to and from the studio to those locations, lunch and off course refreshments. During the session we will take many images of the group and the individual participants. Already sounds fun, doesn’t it? But the fun doesn’t stop there.

Two weeks after the session everyone is invited back to the studio for the unveil-ing party. We ask all participants bring 5 different friends with them to the party. This party is designed for you to view your images and introduce us to some of your friends. We provide pizza and refreshments of course!

The images created during these sessions will be used in promotional material for our studio, so we will need to ensure that our model release is signed by every participant and their parents.

So what’s in it for you? Our participants also receive an individual portrait session at a later date, discounts on portrait orders, and credits for every referral they send to J and B Photography. We even make it really easy for you to refer your friends and family. We ask all participants to give us names, address, and emails of 10 friends. We know our seniors are busy and sometimes forget to tell everyone about us. We also provide our participants images to use on social media sites to help promote us. In return for telling everyone how wonderful we are, we give referral credits when someone books a session with us. You can use these credits toward your portrait orders. As a participant you will also receive discounts on your portrait order just as a thank you from us. All the discounts and referral credits will save mom and dad money on your portrait order. They will thank you for this!

Inside the boxes you will find your portraits already matted and ready for display any time you choose. These boxes are a wonderful choice for any of your portraits, however, are fantastic for our Beautiful You sessions.


Albums

We are proud to offer genuine leather albums that you will be proud to display. They consist of 20 pages which allows us to

design them with many different images within them. We design our albums a little bit differently at our studio. You will see an example of an album during your review and sales consultation. If you choose to order an album, we will finish the design with you. This allows you to see exactly how your album will look and design it exactly how you like. We have found this process speeds up the design time by cutting out us sending you an album to review and make changes. This time saving system also means you will receive it sooner.

Jewelry and Specialty Gifts

We offer a full line of customizable jewelry, leather products and specialty gifts. Leather items are 100 percent genuine

leather and consist of bags, and ipad covers. Some of the specialty gifts include business card holders, key chains, and money clips. They are a fun way to display your images and take them on the go with you. You will have an opportunity to view the catalog at your review and sales consultation.
