THE VERBS vxzqryti AND ouzqryti IN OLD CHURCH SLAVONIAN LANGUAGE (WITH REGARD TO THEIR GREEK TEXTUAL CORRELATES)

Summary

The paper deals with the semantic and syntactic analysis of the verbs vxzqryti and ouzqryti in Old Church Slavonic language with regard to their Greek textual correlates. The authors examine the corellation between the semantic realization of given verbs, the context in which they occur and their complements/adjuncts (their semantic and morfosyntactic features), therefore the basic semantic difference between them and the means of marking it. It is established that the main distinction between vxzqryti and ouzqryti is based on the oposition intentionality + ~ non-intentionality- that is, active ~ inactive. However, in the Greek text, when it comes to the equivalents of vxzqryti and ouzqryti, those semantic features do not always have a distinctive function.

Summary

This paper provides an overview as well as a comparative analysis of lexical units that refer to the closest kinship terms "mother", "father", "son", and "daughter" in Indo-European languages, with particular reference to Serbian on one and the Albanian language on the other side. The aim of the paper is to demonstrate various issues with regard to the very relationship between the terms used for immediate male and female ancestors. Summary

Taking into consideration that the common Slavic lexemes (sister-in-law) and (mother-in-law) are produced with devocalized r8>r in some Serbian speeches, this paper, based on the dialectal material, defines and presents cartographically the distribution of forms of (mother-in-law) and (sister-in-law) in Serbian dialects. Devocalization is explained as a blend of several aspects: firstly, as a Russianism; secondly, as an autochtonous tendency to devocalise posttonic vocalic r, with possible assimilation with the adjacent v; and thirdly, as an acquisition (morphophonological) of the infix or suffix -v- (from the plural form (fathers-in-law) or even the possessive adjective (father-in-laws)).

OBLIQUE CASE IN THE VERNACULARS OF PRIZREN-TIMOK DIALECT REGION

Summary

The aim of this paper is to point out the existence of the oblique case in the vernaculars of the Prizren-Timok dialect zone. The origin and development of the oblique case (casus obliqus generalis) comes under the extensive process of analyticity.

Each of the carefully reviewed major monographs in which this dialect region is described indicates the existence of analyticity in declination, that is, reduction of cases to the nominative and the oblique case, with which all case meanings can be expressed by using different prepositions.

THE NAMES FOR THE SHEPHERDS FLUTE IN THE CONTEXT OF LANGUAGE INTERFERENCE

Summary

The names for the shepherds flute are used as an example of language interference, which is a result of cultural connections of Serbian people with close South Slavic nations and the neighboring non Slavic nations as well as the connections with oriental cultures over the Turks. The work is based on the cartographic language material which refers to the names forshepherds flute, pipe (frula, svirala) and which was done for the first volume of Srpski dijalektoloski atlas.

Etimology of names for aerophoned instruments made of wood shows the variety of lexem origin which name small pipes so in the center of Serbian dialectical are there is a lexem of Slavic origin svirala (pipe) ( with large number of phonetic and morphological options: , , , , , , , , , ) and there is the parallel existence of Balcanism of Greek origin , which came into Serbian language over Hungarian an which is dominant in northern and eastern areas ( in Romanian areas it is like fluer).In Prizren_Timok speaking zone there is interference with neighbouring dialects: westbulgarian ( in both dialects / ) in the East and Macedonian in the South (), whle the oriental influence is obvious in Kosovo and Metohija and in the southern part of Montenegro ( mostly the lexem ). Approaching the north of the coastal area ther is mostly Balcan-Greek word .. The lexem has the same meaning ( with multiple phonetic and morphological options), noted in western Serbia and eastern Bosnia. In western areas (wstern Bosnia and Croatia) theres alexem taken from Italian language ().

ZUR BENENNUNG VON TIRENUNTERKNFTEN IN RENIK SRPSKIH GOVORA VOJVODINE

Zusammenfassung

In diesem Beitrag werden die Namen der Unterknfte von Tieren analysiert. Renik srpskih govora Vojvodine wurde dafr herangezogen. Das Ziel des Beitrags besteht in der Analyse der Struktur sowie der Nachprfung des Status der Lexik in der serbischen Gegenwartssprache. Auf der Basis der Theorie ber die semantischen Felder werden die Namen der Tierbehausungen in vier Bereiche eingeteilt: 1. Unterknfte von Grovieh, 2. von Kleinvieh, 3. von Vgeln und 4. von Bienen. Neben einer lexikalisch-semantischen Analyse werden auch etymolgische Aspekte betrachtet, sowie diachronische und synchronische Wortbildungsprozesse untersucht.

Rsum

Cette tude traite les noms des cratures mythologiques dorigine romane prsents dans les langages de la Cte adriatique. Le corpus est tir des dictionnaires dialectaux qui traitent les langages de la Cte adria-tique. En examinant la littrature correspondante, nous avons trouv les noms suivants: triga, trigun, troli-ga, furleto, orko, macaruo/maci et tintilin. Pour chaque nom nous avons prsent les justifications dialectales et aussi linterprtation timologique base sur les dictionnaires timologiques du serbe (serbo-croate) et ita-lien. Les noms sont dabord analyss aux diffrents niveaux linguistiques phonologique, morphologique et smantique. Pour mieux comprendre le sujet de ltude, nous avons donn une brve description des cra-tures mythologiques. Lobjectif de ltude est de recueillir toutes les formes existantes des noms en qustion, de les analyser et ainsi, de permettre le dveloppement des futures recherches sur llment roman dans la dmonologie des Slaves de Sud.

Summary

Relying upon the fundamental concepts of Kants theory of knowledge, author points to the gaming character of IE. linguistics, as the (linguistic) science generally. Existence of certain metaphysical claims that are imposed in IE. linguistics and by which it founds itself (for example, possibility of reaching of objective knowledge) is not longer sustainable in this condition, so the special attention is devoted to the metaphysical aftereffects of this, different view at the nature of (linguistic) science and its goal. If something can be said about its purport, it is the following: its purport surely cannot be reaching of some concrete, objective noetic target, but to be a reacher expression of creative human essence.
