    Opportunity to Object the Ajax Adventure Camp10-Year Priority Use Permit Application Envi-ronmental Assessment.Karen Schroyer, District Ranger of the White RiverNational Forest, Aspen-Sopris Ranger District, hasfinalized the environmental assessment and find-ing of no significant impact, and prepared the draftdecision notice for Ajax Adventure Camp 10-YearPriority Use Permit Application.

    The Aspen and Sopris Ranger District of the WhiteRiver National Forest proposes to issue Ajax Ad-venture Camp, a children's summer camp basedout of Aspen, Colorado, a 10-year Priority UseOutfitter and Guide Permit (priority use permit). Thepurpose of the proposed action is to providedrop-in summer recreation and outdoor environ-mental education experiences with trained and ex-perienced guides in an educational and safe set-ting on the WRNF, for children in the Aspen area.Ajax's programs offer a unique service to the com-munity and the Forest that is in accordance withU.S. Forest Service (USFS) policies and goals. Theapproval and issuance of the priority use permit bythe WRNF would grant Ajax Adventure Camp anappropriate permit under associated regulations forits type of activities and organization, for 1,500 us-er days at the ten specific locations that are out-lined in the EA.     The objection must contain the minimum contentrequ i r emen ts spec i f i ed i n 218 .8 (d ) andincorporat ion of documents by reference ispermitted only as provided in 218.8(b).At a mini-mum an objection must include the following (36CFR 218.8(d)): 1) The objector's name andaddress, with a telephone number, if available; 2) asignature or other verification of authorship uponrequest (a scanned signature for Email may befiled with the objection); 3) when multiple namesare listed on an objection, identification of the leadobjector (verification of the identity of the leadobjector shall be provided upon request); 4) thename of the proposed project, the name and title ofthe Responsible Official, and the name(s) of theNational Forest(s) and/or Ranger District(s) onwhich the proposed project will be implemented;and 5) a description of those aspects of theproposed project addressed by the objection,including specific issues related to the proposedproject if applicable, how the objector believes theenvironmental analysis or draft decision specificallyviolates law, regulation, or policy; suggestedremedies that would resolve the object ion;supporting reasons for the reviewing officer toconsider; and 6) a statement that demonstratesconnec t ion be tween pr io r spec i f i c wr i t tencomments on the particular proposed project oractivity and the content of the objection. It is theobjector's responsibility to ensure timely filing of awritten objection with the reviewing officer pursuantto 218.9.All objections are available for publicinspection during and after the objection process.
