Tips for Jesus is “doing Gods work one tip at a time”, and includes a mystery tipper who visits restaurants, bars, and strip clubs all over the country and leaves big tips. I am talking like $2000 tips. The mystery tipper is believed to be Jack Shelby, former Paypal millionaire.

Tips for Jesus places a human element in a social media world that is full of landscape, dog, and food pictures. You won’t see any of those on Tips for Jesus. What you will see is lots of people smiling, thumbs ups, and big big tips. Reading through the comments is entertaining with eager Instagramers revealing their locations in hopes of the mystery tipper visiting them.

The do good IG account ran a campaign this past Christmas Eve to encourage people to tip their servers working well. Pay it forward. The call to action: “Working Christmas Eve Sucks right? Join tips for Jesus and make it awesome for your server.” The campaign proved to be successful with high engagement.
