Campsite reservations are recom- mended before arriving at the park. Campsite reserva- tions can be made 24 hours/7 days a week and up to 6 months in advance. Please have a reservation before occupying a campsite. Some of our regulations are included in this brochure for your convenience. A complete listing of park regulations is available at the entrance station or visitor center. • In addition to camping fees, all vehicles are required to have a parks pass. STATE LAW: Marijuana use is prohibited within the park and in public. Any violation is subject to prosecution and confiscation. Please respect your neighbors. • For the safety of your pet, our visitors, and wildlife, pets must be kept on a maximum 6’leash at all times. Clean up aſter your pet. Always carry bags with you. (To keep your park beautiful, it is helpful to pick up trash along the way.) Keep pets away from other ani- mals. e park is home to a variety of wildlife. Respect their natural habitat and keep pets away from nests and other animal homes. • Vehicles must be kept on roads and parking areas. Driving or parking on grass or other vegetation is prohibited. • All other state and park laws also apply. Your cooperation in keeping the park peaceful and safe is appreciated. Camping Rules • Maximum: 1 hard side unit (trailer, pickup camper, pop-up, RV) and 1 tent—OR—2 tents per campsite. • Maximum: Six (6) individuals per campsite. • A dump station is located on the south side of the visitor center for our paying customers. It is illegal and a health hazard to dump waste water and sewage, including dishwater, anywhere else. • e camper service buildings provide showers, toilets, laundry facilities and drinking water. Several com- munity water hydrants are strategically placed in each camp-ground. Please be courteous of fellow campers by not staying connected to the hydrants. • As a courtesy to other campers: All radios, televisions, and generators need to be turned off to observe QUIET HOURS which are from 10:00 PM until 6:00 AM. • Camping permits expire at noon. • Aſter your arrival, park visitors needing to cancel their reservation will forfeit the first night of the remaining nights for each site plus a cancellation fee. • Fires are permitted only in the fire rings and grills provided. Firewood collection is strictly prohibited. • During the off-season (mid-September through March) some of the campgrounds remain open; however the shower buildings are winterized and water to hydrants in the campgrounds is turned off. Vault toilets will remain open in those campgrounds. Be prepared to purchase vehicle pass(s) at the kiosk. Swimming Swimming is recommended in the no wake zones on the west and south shores. Swimming is not recom- mended beyond the no wake buoys. Swimming is at your own risk so take the necessary precautions. Aſter entering Morgan County and at base of hill, turn leſt (north) on Colorado 144. Drive 7 miles to T-intersection at Go- odrich and turn leſt (north). Drive ½ mile past Goodrich. Turn leſt (west) on County Road Y.5. Stay on County Road Y.5 (It will turn north aſter a couple of miles.) is will take you past the south side and into the main park area on the west. From the East (Fort Morgan, Nebraska) West on I-76. Take the second Wiggins’ exit (Exit 66A). Turn right (north) on CO 39/CO 52. Drive approximately 9 miles. Drive ½ mile past Goodrich. Turn leſt onto County Road Y.5.
