Synopsis2Looking for Eimish is, above all, a love story. The startup of the story is the conflict created by the fact that Eimish wants to take a step forward in the relationship and Lucas is not able to. As a result, Eimish leaves home, and Lucas starts a thrilling trip by train through Berlin and Verona to find her.

In this trip he will discover who is Eimish, and what she is looking for. Looking for Eimish talks about finding one’s place in the world. A story based on intuitions, fate and invisible energies that create links between people.

Looking for Eimish is a journey I want the viewer to live. I have tried to make it poetic and hypnotic. A film that touches the heart and brings hope.

I count on a deep story, worderful landscapes and lost characters that haven’t lost the passion for life.

Looking for Eimish talks about finding one’s place in the world. A story based on intuitions, fate and invisible energies that create links between people.

TRAIN MOVIEA journey by train that changes their lives.

FATE/ FIGHTING AGAINST FATEThe characters don not accept what fate brings and fight fot what they want.

FAMILYAs a basic survival unit. A family is not always of blood.

FRIENDSHIPThe characters become their family.

LOVEOutlined in this time, in the heart of a person who has a fatalistic view of love.

AND PASSION FOR LIFEThis may save them.

The cinematography in Looking for Eimish seeks to highlight and embellish the ideas we want to show.

He have worked with a cold photography, almost melancholic, with bluish tones in the lighting, that makes the image tend towards a subtle monochrome.

We shot in the best hours of daylight to obtain the maximum realism and naturality and to underline the integration of our characters with real surroundings.

Little artificial lighting, except in night exteriors.

Slow and moderate camera, with little jump cuts or stridencies.

As visual references we took:

“El Regreso” because of its way to photograph exteriors.

“My blueberry nights” because of the light and composition.

“En la ciudad de Sylvia” or “Demonlover” because of the naturality of the camera in urban surroundings.

“Once” for the way it transmits emotions and feelings.

Ana Rodríguez RosellBA in Journalism, I worked for the Boadilla del Monte City Hall Press Office, the University of San Pablo-CEU Press Office and as copywriter for DEC (BBDO group).In 2007 we created the production company Jana Films S.L. in which I am deeply involved in film-making and production.

Quiero ser una gacela (2009)(I want to be a gazelle). In this movie we filmed the Mariama Ba school of Goré, where the most intelligent girls from Senegal study, girls who will turn out to be the future leaders of the country.

Documentary Film First Prize at the 2010 Picnic Festival. ¡Espera Fati! (2007)(Fati, wait!). Filmed in 2007, tells the story of a Saharawi family who gathers for a wedding in the Tindouf refugee camp. Released at “Fisahara” in 2007. Yo y mi terraza (2006)(Me and my terrace) is a meditation on the meaning of life, that searches for the most essential simplicity that we have found in Senegal. 2006
