Coordination Center, identification and plan development for secondary and tertiary emergency warehouses, Closed POD solutions for various vulnerable population groups, white powder/hazardous material response planning, USPS Biohazard Detection System response planning, MegaPOD mass dispensing planning, mass staffing assignment coordination and review and certification of all mass dispensing sites.

Provided subject matter expertise to a number of Division of Disease Control and Department of Public Health public information campaigns, including the annual influenza vaccine outreach campaign, introduction of the “Philadelphia Freedom” condom, anti-smoking and healthy living social media campaigns, newsletter design and targeting and website design and copywriting.

Member of a number of state and regional advisory committees related to public health preparedness, including the BioWatch Advisory Committee and Public Information Sub-committee, the Regional Task Force Public Information Sub-committee, the Delaware Valley Healthcare Council Center City Emergency Hospital Support Zone and VAMC NDMS planning advisory group.

HEALTH COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST 2/2007 – 11/2009

Developed, coordinated and conducted the Department of Public Health’s H1N1 influenza public information and outreach campaign, including establishing the Department’s first social media accounts.

Managed Philadelphia Health Alert Network, distributing 78 health alerts to more than 3,000 Philadelphia-area health care providers over three years.

Developed a public-oriented website for the Division of Disease Control. Developed and maintained a website intended to distribute professional-level guidance and information to the

Philadelphia-area clinical community. Managed tactical communications equipment and systems garnering perfect scores during each of three

CDC annual assessments. Provided technical support to Philadelphia Joint Information Center during multi-agency full-scale exercise. Developed and coordinated exercise of public health call center plan designed to support emergency

medication points of distribution.

Managed all aspects of a nationwide survey of 2,000 primary care doctors. Managed all aspects of a research study including survey and chart abstraction of 200 cancer patients. Managed a clinical research study on curcumin and colon polyps and recruited 12 study participants.

guidance and plans, and international, federal, state and local response efforts. Recorded more than 45,000 website hits; averaging more than 950 hits per month in addition to more than 70

email and RSS subscribers. Managed the @break_glass Twitter account, amassing more than 400 followers and 1,300 tweets.
