jam today methodJamToday aims to turn educators and

learning professionals into educational designers with the help of game design

knowledge and practice. Equally, we wish for learners to embrace game-

based thinking and become ICT practitioners instead of merely users,

with a corresponding ability to express themselves in videogames as a medium.

learning coding skills or creating games)

• 2015: Adopting healthier lifestyles (such as healthy eating or changing behavior)

• 2016: Supporting learning of mathematics (such as sustaining engagement)

• Learninghub: retrieving game jam toolkits, self assessment modules, expert advices and exchange of best practice

• Game Jam(s): annual game jam competitions on educational game throughout Europe

A game jam is a gathering of game developers for the purpose of planning,

designing, and creating one or more games within a short span of time,

usually ranging between 24 and 48 hours.
