QUICK DKJA FACTS:
• DKJA is the only K-12 Jewish Day School in the country to have
the honor of becoming a FranklinCovey Leader In Me School.
• Last year, DKJA awarded approximately $3 million in

THE IMPACT OF A DAY SCHOOL
As cited in the study The Impact of Day School: A Comparative
Analysis of Jewish College Students conducted by Brandeis
University’s Maurice and Marilyn Cohen Center for Modern
Jewish Studies:
• Research on the outcomes of Day Schooling has repeatedly
shown that attending a Day School strengthens Jewish
identity, connections, and behaviors.
• Former Day School attendees in the study stand out from
their public and private school peers in the importance that
they attribute to being Jewish.
• Whether the focus is involvement in formal Jewish learning,
observance of holidays, programs on the Holocaust, Israel and
Jewish culture, or opportunities to do community service
sponsored by a Jewish organization, undergraduates who
have attended Day Schools are more likely to participate as
compared with those who did not attend a Day School.

EDUCATION & CULTURE
Jewish Day Schools produce the energizing nucleus of the North American Jewish community.
Jewish Day School graduates are proven to be more compassionate, more communally engaged, and more civically aware than their peers from other school settings.
FUTURE
There is universal consensus within the Jewish community that the Day School is the single most effective vehicle for the transmission of Jewish knowledge and the singlebest safeguard for a vibrant Jewish future.
The Jewish Day School has no equal as it provides an unparalleled and unprecedented level of religious, cultural, moral, linguistic, and secular education to students from across the spectrum of Jewish life in North America.
Jewish Day Schools provide early exposure to and constant, daily reinforcement of a second language (Hebrew) from the first day of Kindergarten through the close of High School. Jewish Day Schools are designed to promote outstanding morals, ethics, and values.
THE VALUES–ADDED OF

COMMUNITY
CHOOSING A JEWISH DAY SCHOOL
EDUCATION IS IMPERATIVE FOR
JEWISH CONTINUITY
At Donna Klein Jewish Academy, a dual general and Judaic
studies curriculum ensures academic preparedness,
a connection to our Jewish heritage, and opportunities to
internalize Torah values. A comprehensive, rigorous college
preparatory program is a strong foundation, but living
Jewish values and learning leadership skills for the future are
essential. Our students develop ideals, character, integrity,
and compassion as they achieve their personal best.
THE BENEFITS OF JEWISH
DAY SCHOOL
DKJA offers a unique “value-added” dimension of a Day
School education. Our rigorous curriculum includes
Hebrew, Torah, Jewish history, and Jewish values.
We consistently see and hear from our alumni that their
years at DKJA continue to influence their life choices in a
positive way, which will guide them in the future as they
grow into adulthood. They are the future Jewish leaders,
and will ensure that generations to come will continue to
be connected to their Judaism.
WHY DKJA
I'm undoubtedly the person I am today as a
result of my years at Donna Klein Jewish
Academy. As a young adult, it’s so important to
have a strong sense of Jewish identity. DKJA
has prepared me with the perspective to
represent a positive message for our people,
wherever my life takes me.”
My days at DKJA were the foundation for my
life today. Every day, I draw on my experiences
from DKJA as I teach the leaders of tomorrow,
instilling strong Jewish values. Every day,
I learn how much I really know, thanks
to DKJA.”
DKJA enabled me to excel as an athlete, and to
appreciate the true meaning of sportsmanship
and scholarship. I know what it means to be a
winner on and off the courts. I value the
meaning of Jewish Living, Learning, and
Academic Achievement every day, thanks to
my DKJA education.”
IS THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR YOUR CHILD’S EDUCATION
DKJA exemplifies:Jewish Living, Learning, and Academic Achievement.
In the Spring of 2011, the Donna Klein Jewish Academy
Board of Trustees and Head of School Karen Feller
proudly announced the renaming of the High School
at DKJA as Claire and Emanuel G. Rosenblatt High
School at DKJA. The state–of–the–art facility is now
named in honor of magnanimous Benefactor Ms. Linda
R. Kaminow’s beloved parents (Claire and Emanuel
G. Rosenblatt, Of Blessed Memory, pictured at left),
philanthropists who were committed to Jewish education
and continuity.
In the fall of 2009, the High School relocated from portables to a fully renovated, 13,500
square foot facility on the school’s main campus. The relocation and renovation project
was made possible after Ms. Kaminow came forward as President of The Rosenblatt
Foundation to arrange for the largest gift in DKJA’s recent history. In May of 2011, the
High School was officially renamed Claire and Emanuel G. Rosenblatt High School
at DKJA.
Ms. Kaminow, a philanthropist in her own right, has benevolently donated, and arranged
for, many significant gifts that provide exceptional learning opportunities to DKJA
students. Through the Claire and Emanuel G. Rosenblatt Technology Program K-12 and
the Claire and Emanuel G. Rosenblatt Scholarship Fund, the legacy of Jewish education
at DKJA will be perpetuated for generations to come.

“DKJA’s challenging K-12 curriculum not only provides the strong base of knowledge required to succeed in college and beyond—it also teaches students how to think both creatively and critically.
DKJA was my academic haven. The extraordinary experiences that this amazing school provided for me crafted my values and aspirations; my academic ambitions were formed in DKJA’s supportive atmosphere. It gave me the discipline and inquisitiveness to succeed academically, the open-mindedness to appreciate those around me, and the confidence to pursue my dreams. DKJA’s emphasis on personal development is unparalleled, and that is what I cherish.”

LIFE INSURANCE
IRAS AND OTHERRETIREMENT ACCOUNTS
If you have accumulated considerable amounts in your IRA, SEP or other retirement accounts, you are in the highest brackets for paying income and estate taxes, which may be substantial.
By naming Donna Klein Jewish Academy as a beneficiary of all or a portion of
your IRA, 401(k), or other qualified retirement plan, you avoid both the estate tax
and the income tax that would be due if the plan was distributed to your
non-spousal heirs.
Retirement plan assets may also be ideal for funding a Charitable remainder
Trust through your Will to provide income to a loved one after your lifetime.
The first step toward accomplishing this goal is to obtain a beneficiary
designation form from the trustee of your IRA or other retirement plan. This type
of form is fairly standard, and the following information should help you complete
it correctly:
