Non – Hosted Schools

–Scomis are currently working on a project to assist schools who need to migrate from 2008.–Pending confirmation from Capita it may be possible to migrate from SQL2008 to SQL2014–Hosted platform will be migrated – may be cost effective for non hosted schools to move to the hosted platform.

SOLUS 3

• SOLUS 3 is an application which will automatically deploy updates and patches to the Sims server and workstations.

• Presently most schools are using SOLUS 2.

• Moving to SOLUS 3 could have considerable financial implications for the school.

• Hosted schools - Scomis will update the hosted platform at no extra charge.

• The final upgrade which can be managed through SOLUS 2 will be the Autumn 2014 release.
