JANEZ PRAŠNIKAR Janez Prašnikar is a Full Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana. He finished his Ph.D. at the University of Ljubljana (1982). He was a Visiting Fellow at the University of Berkeley (fall 1984), Cornell University (spring 1985) and Pittsburgh University (fall 1987). In spring 1990 he was a Visiting Professor at the University of Pittsburgh, in summer 1992 at the Oxford University and in summer 1993, 1994 at Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. As a research fellow he is affiliated to the William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan Business School, USA, and Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) in London, United Kingdom. Prof. has been involved in several research projects and has published a number of papers and books relating to the economics of transition, corporate restructuring, and corporate governance. He is also a founder and director of the Residential Master's Programme in Business and Organization at the Faculty of Economics, the international recoqnized full time graduate programme at the University of Ljubljana. Prof. Prašnikar was a member of the Strategic Board of the Prime Minister of Slovenia (several times) and of the programme comittee of the President of Slovenia. He was a member of the Council for Higher Education of the Republic of Slovenia and a member of the Promotion Committee at the University of Ljubljana. JANEZ PRAŠNIKAR

Janez Prašnikar is a Full Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana. He finished his Ph.D. at the University of Ljubljana (1982). He was a Visiting Fellow at the University of Berkeley (fall 1984), Cornell University (spring 1985) and Pittsburgh University (fall 1987).
