Many Glasgow parents and young Hockey playersventured to Kalispell to ring in the New YearHockey-style. he girls were in their NortheastMontana element with temperatures that dipped belowzero for most of the first weekend in 2015. Playing all4 games on Kalispells beautiful outdoor rink made thecold weather seem not quite so harsh for some reason? With high-powered lights trained on the two teamsand flakes of snow gently falling from the sky, the U19Girls would engage Missoula for the first of 4 spiritedbattles. Alex Simensen scored the first and only Glasgowgoal during a Power Play only minutes into the firstperiod. It wasnt until midway through the 3rd periodthat Missoula would score their first and only goal. 5trips to the penalty box for Missoula and 1 trip to the

penalty box for Glasgow would end the game at a tie,1 1. Even with a short overtime, the game remaineddead-locked! (Game 1, Glasgow 1 Missoula 1) A chilly Saturday morning would see Glasgowfacing the local favoritesWhitefish. Te Glasgow girlsshowed their strength with a total of 5 goals MadisonKnodel, Baylie Chappell, eagan Fossum with an assistby Madison Knodel, followed by Sadie Sukut and anothergoal by Madison Knodel. Te Whitefish girls battled hardbut couldnt get one past Glasgows Autumn Gault. Onepenalty visit for Glasgow while Whitefish made 5 trips to

the box! (Game 2, Glasgow 5 Whitefish 0) Saturday night would pit the Ice Dawgs againstLethbridge. his was a fairly heated match as thisauthor was a witness! rading blows, skating hard andfastthis game kept everyones attention. GlasgowsMakenzie Wesen made the first goal while KennedySchmidt took care of the second goal. It wouldnt beenough to hold off the Lethbridge team howeverwithLethbridge scoring 5 goals over the next 2 periods.Seems as though both teams spent more time in thepenalty box than on the actual ice! Glasgow spent

a total of 12 minutes in the penalty box comparedto Lethbridges 6 minutes! A great match! (Game 3,Glasgow 2 Lethbridge 5). Sunday morning in the park, Glasgow would playthe Gracious hosts of this fine event, the KalispellFlames! Glasgows Ice Dawgs took immediate control ofthe situation at hand! Scoring for Glasgow would includeAlex Simensen, Carly Wesely, Josey Uphaus, MaddyUphaus, eagan Fossum with an assist by Carly Wesely,Makenzie Wesen with an assist by Carly Wesely, CarlyWesely, Kennedy Schmidt, Carly Wesely, Alex Simensen

Te Kalispell Flames played hard and triedtheir best, but any goals would elude them during thimatch and Glasgows Autumn Gault showed her strengthhere. wo penalties for Kalispell, no penalties for Glasgow
