Varsity Basketball Boys Tournament this Weekend-at St. John South Euclid. The first game was last night and the boys won! Second game is tonight, at 7:45 pm. GOOD LUCK BOYS!!! 5th and 6th grade Basketball games-Girls play at Bethany, at 9 am; Boys play at St. Mark, at 10 am.

10 Principal Notes: How nice to have the sun shining down on us and warmer temperatures! Yesterday, we thanked Officer Jim Gross for

not only all of the 5th grade graduates to the CARES (Chemical Abuse Resistance Education Students) program, but for his now 20 years of lead-ership for the program! Congratulations 5th graders-you are well equipped to be a leader in the decisions you make and keep you and those around you safe, healthy and substance free. Thank you to the PTO who, through the Spaghetti Dinner proceeds is able to offer our students this program! Today ends the second quarter and we’re half-way through the school year! On January 27th, we’ll switch Headmaster over to quarter 3

and report cards go home next Friday. Have a warm and blessed weekend!

9 RRLS’ 30th Anniversary Dinner “Denim and Diamonds” and Silent Auction will be Friday, February 28th. A special event is

being planned with a great dinner, entertainment, and a silent auction with students’ artwork available for bids, as well as auction baskets. And, we

will be thanking Pastor Martin for his vision starting this school ministry 30 years ago. Keep watching for more details.

5555 Singing in Church—If you haven’t signed your child(ren) up to sing for National Lutheran Schools Week yet, you can either find another

sign-up sheet in the office or via your classroom teachers’ email. We can’t wait to fill the services (Jan. 25 or 26) with the children’s voices of praise to God! Please note: immediately after the students sing, your child will be under your care. Please accompany them to Sunday School or

worship as necessary.

2 Chapel Offering for January-“Loose Change for Life” is our Mission project for January. Your loose change will benefit the babies whose moms

receive support services at the Cleveland Pregnancy Center located at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cleveland. In each classroom a gigantic baby bottle will collect the loose change.
