American Eagle Adds Service to San Luis Potosí, Mexico

American Eagle is proud to announce daily nonstop flights between Dallas/Fort Worth and San Luis Potosí, Mexico, beginning January 5, 2005. San Luis Potosí is northwest of Mexico City in central Mexico’s high plains region. It is the largest and most industrial of the old silver mining cities, with more than a half million residents. In addition, San Luis Potosí is home to Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, one of Mexico’s main universities.

In addition to this new destination, American Eagle serves five other cities in Mexico – Aguascalientes, León, Guadalajara, Monterrey, and Torreon. Added to the other seven American Airlines destinations — Acapulco, Cancun, Cozumel, Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo, Los Cabos, Mexico City, and Puerto Vallarta — we have an outstanding flight network that offers over 275 flights from the U.S. every week. American Airlines has a long-standing relationship with Mexico. We began flying from Dallas/Fort Worth to Monterrey, with continuing service to Mexico City, over 60 years ago, in 1942. Today, you can begin your trip in any of seven U.S. cities — Boston, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Miami, New York JFK, or St. Louis. See an overview of the schedule in the chart below.
