JANUARY 2020 EVENTS

CRACKER BARRELS SCHEDULEDThe 95th South Dakota Legislative Session will open with the governor’s state of the state address at noon on Jan. 14 in Pierre.

Representatives Lance Koth and Paul Miskimins will represent District 20 in the House of Representatives, and Sen. Josh Klumb will represent District 20 in the Senate. District 20 is comprised of Davison, Hanson and Jerauld counties.

During the session, the Chamber Governmental Affairs Committee will host two cracker barrel sessions, scheduled for Jan. 31 and March 6. Both sessions will take place in the Mitchell City Council Chambers, 612 N. Main, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Attendees are welcome to bring their lunch.

These sessions are open to the public, and investors in the Chamber are encouraged to attend. Through conversations with legislators, participants can share their civic and business priorities and find out about pending legislation.

The cracker barrel sessions will be streamed live on the city’s YouTube channel for those who cannot attend in person. If you have a question to ask remotely, email it to Meghen@mitchellchamber.com.
