ANNOUNCEMENTS

Let’s ZOOM! Tuesday Coffees via Zoom start at 9:30 am every week. This Tuesday, Jan 26, will be hosted by of Atrium C with Elaine Faas. Watch for an invitation in your email on the Monday before, or type in Meeting Number 837 3180 3353. This is a NEW # for 2021.

Friday Chats We invite you to Friday Chats every Friday at 10:30 am. The topic could be “What is on your Bucket List?” Other suggestions? The new Zoom meeting number for 2021 is 876 5119 6839.

Birthday Wishes January 30: Steve Coon January 30: Marilynn Curry January 30: Ann Young

Bingo back on Wednesdays! Let’s play a little Bingo again via Zoom. Jan 27, 3:30 pm. Prizes include free lunches, snacks, and as-sorted items. Watch for an invi-tation to go out to everyone to build the attendance. New cards are available at the Front Desk.

Another Phone Scam There is a new phone SCAM making the rounds. This one is very tricky. The rec-orded voice says something like: “ Hello. This is Amazon. We just received an order from you for a new iPhone for $999. Press 1 to deny this order or press 2 to confirm". The person should HANG UP. DO NOT press any button. They are tricking the person to press either 1 or 2 and probably both are dangerous!

Podiatry Clinic Please let the Front Desk know if you are interested in seeing the podiatrist here on campus. We need 15 Independent Living residents for him to come here to us.

CAUTION Needed! Between construction, delivery vehicles, and normal NC traffic, there needs to be an abundance of caution when driving. Please pay special attention around the garages when residents are backing out. They have limited views of oncoming traffic. Let’s keep the speed low and awareness high! Thank you!

Calling Volunteers Do you have a little extra time on your hands? Perhaps you have a special talent or interest that could be of service to one of your fellow residents. If that is so, we are interested in hearing from you. We would like to create a “Volunteer Core” that other residents could refer to for assis-tance with tasks such as secretarial or of-fice help, light sewing (buttons or hems), cell phone questions, etc. And if you have the title Volunteer Organizer in your back-ground, please consider helping with this!
