MCC's SWAP program (Sharing With Appalachian People) is looking for summer meals coordinators and job site coordinators. These 3-month assignments include a level of interaction with youth and adult groups, youth sponsors, and local residents that provides opportunity to explore new cultures and stretch one's faith and understanding of Christ's commands. A stipend, room and board, and transportation to and from assignment are provided. For more information, visit mcc.org/SWAP. 2016 Regional Gatherings You are warmly invited to a CDC Regional Gathering on February 13 at Community Mennonite Church (Markham, Illinois), February 20 at Faith Mennonite Church (Goshen, Indiana), or March 5 at Emmaus Road Mennonite Fellowship (Berne, Indiana). The day includes scripture and song, congregational sharing, a choice of sessions on the recent MCC sponsored Come and See Tour to Palestine/Israel or a discussion using the Human Sexuality study guide developed by Gerald and Carrie Mast. Our afternoon will end with a time of prayer. As CDC Vice-president, Arman Habegger, said about attending his first Regional Gathering, "I didn't really want to go, but by the end of the day, I was glad I did!" Please remember, the CDC will recognize Lois Johns Kaufmann's retirement and say our farewells at the Annual Meeting at Columbus Mennonite, June 23-25, 2016. Bring your family for a weekend of fun together to reconnect with one another without the demands of home. Enjoy planned activities for all ages, Saturday child care for young children, family-centered, and child friendly worship. Camp Friedenswald's Family Winter Retreat Feb 12-14 will feature David Moser, pastor at Southside Mennonite Fellowship, speaking about My Immigration Story; My Neighbor's Immigration Story.
