Another way this happens is when one or more community members attends an Executive Committee meeting. Please know that there is an open invitation for you to do so. It would be helpful for you to contact President Cheri Wright beforehand.

One of the primary responsibilities of Trinity’s Executive Committee is listening to you, the members of our “Community Following Jesus.” This happens in a variety of ways, both through organized events where input is sought as well as informally in personal conversation.

This is the foundation of our faith, but it is certainly not the only teaching of Luther or the reformers. Luther also “discovered” or restored the church’s teaching about the importance of the ordinary lives we live each day. The Christian faith is not just for “someday” when life comes to an end; it is a comprehensive account of the entire world,

including human beings and their place and purpose in this world. Coming to an enhanced understanding and appreciation of the vibrant breakthroughs of the Reformation will make an impact on the life you live right now. The core paradigm of the Christian faith as articulated by the reformers has immediate and profound application to real life, today.

The Abigail Circle is looking to collect children’s books during the month of January to be donated to Reach out and Read KC, www.reachoutandreadkc.org. Last year was our first year doing this and it was a great success! We ended up with a trunk full!

We are asking for book donations again this year and will be collecting books from December 31 – January 28. The books need to be for children from birth to age 5.
