It is rare that a person matches perfectly with the job they do. When I first met Kristy

French and she told me she was a financial advisor, it made total sense. She is an intelligent and sharp witted woman that is well versed in all things financial. I was impressed with her knowledge of the financial markets and retirement strategy. Being an IT contractor from NJ, I had a bunch of small 401K and IRA accounts from past employers. After some conversation with Kristy, I found myself converting all my retirement investments to Edward Jones Investors. My experience has been nothing but excellent. After doing a complete analysis of my current investments, Kristy was able to compare my past earnings with what she expects to earn going forward using the Edward Jones Invest-ment strategy. I am happy to report that all expectations in earnings have been met or exceeded so far. Kristy French was born in Eastland, Texas. Her father, Kenneth French worked on the oil rigs in west Texas, but was eventually recruited by other Ed-ward Jones financial professionals to join the firm. At the age of 6, her family moved to a small south Texas town about an hour from the Gulf of Mexico, where Kristy learned to love the beach.

After doing financial work for a while, Kenneth opened his own office in Victoria, Texas in 1994. You can see Kenneth in the dark suit with his daughter Kristy just to the left. The French family has been doing financial planning with Edward Jones for over 20 years and Kristy is carrying that torch further into the Myrtle Beach area. Before coming to Myrtle Beach, Kristy graduated from Texas Tech with a degree in Political Sci-ence and Economics. She worked part time at Edward Jones during college and then moved to St Louis, where the Edward Jones home office is located, to get in-depth training and valuable experience. St. Louis is where she met her fiancée, who was originally from Manning SC. They decided to move back to SC, specifically Myrtle Beach for the sand and sun Kristy enjoyed as a youngster. After building a good client base here in Myrtle Beach, Kristy is now opening her own office on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach. The office officially opens on Feb 2nd, but the Grand Open-ing is on Feb 18th. The Grand Opening event is open to everyone to come meet Kristy and check out the office. It will be informal and social. Complimentary beverages and snacks will be served.

SHOUTMB: Why should a prospective client choose to go with Edward Jones? Kristy: Edward Jones has unique process of truly knowing the clients. Good fit is important. Goal setting and relationships means a lot also. The Edward Jones model is one of personal con-tact with each client. Our clients are serious investors who don't gamble with their savings. Ed-ward Jones financial advisors believe in providing one-on-one service in the privacy of their own offices, or the clients’ home. We are trained to listen to your needs and goals and offer a personal analysis in language that you understand. SHOUTMB: Why Kristy French as my Financial Advisor?

Kristy: I grew up around the business. I have witnessed what proper investment strategy can do for people. I have also seen unfortunate people that have mismanaged their savings and regret it. The impact of good investment planning is immense. I know I can help people define and reach their goals through proper investment strategy and planning. SHOUTMB: What kind of clients are your favorite to work with?

Kristy: I like to show people that already have retirement accounts, such as 401ks and IRAs how they can grow their money with Edward Jones. Many people come to me with a portfolio that they are not happy with. I covert these people to well-invested happy clients by showing them the way to financial success. Sometimes clients just need a professional to look at what they already have, perform a detailed analysis of how things are per-forming and understand the fees.

SHOUTMB: What do you and your husband-to-be do on your days off?

Kristy: We like boating and hanging out on Bird Island when we have time. Of course we golf,

like everyone else in Myrtle Beach, and going to the beach whenever it’s possible!

Kevin Kaminsky is not your everyday Jersey boy. He is actually soft

spoken and painfully polite. I can say this with confidence coming from New Jersey also. Al-though he doesn't demonstrate the usual New Jersey personality stereotypes, he is from the land of Tolls and Taxes. Kevin's softer side is what makes him perfect for the business he owns in North Myrtle Beach. He grew up in northern New Jersey but went to college here in South Carolina. After Graduating he worked as a deputy sheriff and then decided to use the skills he learned to become his own boss in the pet industry. Waggin' Tails opened its doors for business on Dec 13th 2013. This establishment has all the best pet toys, food and accessories you could imagine. Waggin' Tails offers a full line of grooming services including Express Grooms and Complete Grooms that include everything you could think of to make your pet look glamorous. Another great feature is the addition of an area where you can wash your own pet in their facility saving your own house the usual fuss and mess. SHOUTMB: What made you get into the pet busi-ness? Business Spotlight Continued ... Kevin: I love animals and always wanted to do something in the pet industry. I have never been a fan of how the big box stores treat their customers and peddle over-priced, low quality products and toys. Sometimes these large corporations will deal in products from China that they know are of sub-par quality and often dangerous. SHOUTMB: What pets do you currently own? Kevin: I have a few Beta fish, a Parakeet and my dog Reggie, a 7 year old Goldendoodle. (see picture) SHOUTMB: What do you do for fun in MB? Kevin: I like going to the movies, eating out and going to the beach. Dog walking on the beach is one of the great pleasures of living near the ocean. SHOUTMB: Why is Waggin' Tails different than other Pet stores/Groomers? Kevin: I research the origin and contents of every item I sell. I am in contact with all the sales reps and production facilities directly to ensure top quality products only. Addition-ally, I employ two experienced groomers that are not only animal lovers, but are also excel-lent at what they do. Katherine Graham has over 8 years experience and can groom both dogs and cats with excellent outcomes. She is very knowledgeable in all breeds. Brice, out newest groomer, is fresh out of grooming school and is proficient in the latest grooming tech-niques. Together these ladies represent what I believe is the best grooming team on the beach.
