Our Mission
WELCOME TO THE CENTENNIAL YEAR OF THE BEVERLY HILLS WOMEN’S CLUB! What an auspicious time to be a member of a community organization that is just one year younger than the city of Beverly Hills. Appropriately, plans abound to celebrate this very special time and we need your creativity and participation to turn those plans into reality.
We have scheduled displays in the Beverly Hills Library and at The Wallis. Street banners will hang from light posts near our club. There will be a tribute book containing photographs of members, information about the club and its history, excerpts from our famous 1930’s cookbook and vintage photographs as well as tributes from the greater Beverly Hills community. We welcome your involvement in any of these important projects.
Please save Saturday night, November 12th for the Centennial Gala to be held at our club. Superb food and wines, live music, entertainment and more will mark the culmination of our year’s celebration.
Please become part of the planning and add your special skills to our centennial celebration. The time to get involved is NOW! Please call any of the following Board members to participate – starting with me:

Art Talk: The Art of Sculpting
Join BHWC President and Art Historian, Mumsey Nemiroff for
in-depth look at Sculptors, and their art — the most enduring
and, arguably, the greatest form of fine art known to man.
It’s been said, that over many centuries, great artists have
provided humanity with incredible things — one of those
incredible things is the art of sculpting.
Even today, although continuously evolving, sculpture is still
the leading method of expressing and commemorating both
historical figures and events.
Support for the Art Talk series is provided by Tiffany & Co.
Experience a one of a kind, behind-the-scenes tour at the Autry Museum of the American West featuring an insider’s look at the Conservation labs and specially selected highlights from the Gabrielino/Tongva collection. Learn more about how these parts of the collection will be integrated into the new California Continued - a nearly 20,000-square-foot destination featuring two new galleries and an ethnobotanical garden. Tour and conversation will be led by senior members of the collection, curator, and conservation staff.
February 29 Monday
11:30am Reception 12:00pm Luncheon & Presentation
RSVP Required $40 Members & Guests $50 Non-Members Tickets are non-refundable Leap Day, on February 29, has been a day of traditions, folklore
and superstitions ever since Leap Years were first introduced by
Julius Ceasar over 2000 years ago. In keeping with the theme of
nature gone awry, a whimsical tradition dating back at least four
centuries holds that leap years confer upon women the
"privilege" of proposing marriage to men instead of the other
way around.
On this day of “girl” power, we will learn how to utilize our
bodies to strengthen our personal power, improve our
relationships, enhance our intuition, and enter into our highest
spiritual wisdom and connection. We will also become aware of
our unique personal strengths.
A very special “Thank You” to Mercedes-Benz
of Beverly Hills and Tiffany & Co. for their
continued support.
