Wallace) and Buddy (Alec Olweean) are just ascomplicated and audiences may begin to questiontheir own thoughts and feelings about falling in lovewith someone ‘different.’ Berkow challenged theactors with this direction, “Don’t be afraid of theconflict in this show - the stakes for everyone areway up. But don’t make it a soap opera!”

This challenging musical may be about the conjoined twins who survive by being part of a‘freak’ show in the 1930’s - but shows us they really have the same feelings, hopes and dreamswe all have. With a message of acceptance, andthat there is no-such-thing-as-“normal” Side Showis a reminder that true beauty is really about whatis alive in our hearts. Join us this winter for a showyou won’t soon forget.

As your community theatre, we strive to provide educational opportunities to engage, excite, and ignite creativity in students of all ages - from 3 to 103. If you have browsed the Academy offerings in the past but have not taken the plunge yet, now is the time to go for it! If you want to grow your skills and audition for an upcoming production or if you seek to gain self-confidence in sharing your ideas with others, there is an opportunity for you.

Adult students will have the opportunity to work with a different director each week to really dive deep into scene study, communication, and apply direction to their acting. Youth classes have a wide variety of topics from acting, to movement, to dialects, and our extremely popular Spring Break Day Camp is back for grades K-9! Register early, it fills fast!

The youngest students in the 3-5 year old age group will travel to outer space without leaving the room in our Space Out class! For the 50+ set, class will focus on connecting with a scene partner and truly connecting to communicate the story.

Whatever your theatrical aspirations are, there is an opportunity with the

Academy of Theatre Arts this winter!
