- Must have for large scale scans- UAV “drones” & planes- Needs pilot with license and aviation permit based on location.- Expensive and potentially dangerous- Autonomous operations are practically illegal.

- Small or medium objects “Rocks, trees”- Camera on tripod or handheld- Multiple operators

- Any DSLR- Sharp lens, ideally fixed- From 20mm to 35mm- Circular polarization filter- Tripod- LIDAR “optional”

- Always circle your subject- Images should overlap at least 30%- Do as many shots as you can- Sharp images are crucial- Full manual settings- Low ISO “avoid noise”

- Avoid any shiny or reflective surfaces- Use polarization filter for reflection reduction

- Can be really expensive- Needs special studio- Ambient lighting without shadows- Special synchronised camera rigs- Shoot dead bodies - “No, please don’t!”
