Hello! My name is Jasmine Lee.

Freelance PhotographerFresh out of high school in the summer of 2009, I started a career as a Freelance Photographer. Specializing in model development, retouching and product photography, I happily maintained a purely referral-based business. While it’s been years since I’ve put together a permanent portfolio, a fair majority of my work can still be Google searched under the name, Jasmine Lee Viray.

Responsibilities

Organized photoshoots with various clients and maintained a guaranteed two week turn-around.

Provided various photo packages and printing options.

Provided written invoice material.

Documented model release forms for commercial shoots.

I once lived for eight hour shoots and the familiar sounds of

a busy studio.

Sometime in the Fall of 2011, I was approached by a local business owner in need of a photographer, Amanda

Aragon. She and her younger sister Alex opened an online clothing store and needed a fresh, new look for their digital catalog. While I was hesitant about taking on what I knew was going to be a dramatic rise in my workload, I was undeniably enthusiastic about joining the MaterialAddict.Com Team.

What I did not know, after joining this team, was how motivated this set of sisters was to have their company succeed. Within the first year of my time with them, Material Addict had taken over a unbelievable portion of the Instagram market. With over 100k followers (one of which being Rihanna), Material Addict sales boomed. What started as a monthly, cramped photoshoot of 5-10 items in my living room soon became a weekly shoot of 40+ products in our brand new warehouse and studio.

Every month was a new adventure. Casting calls and interacting with the local modeling agencies became the norm. We welcomed two more interns, a permanent hair and stylist team, and eventually paired up with an offshore company that would piece together our original Material Addict clothing line. Material Addict was where I learned how beneficial it is to be part of an enthusiastic team.

I once read that 60% of small businesses close within their first two operating years. While Material Addict made it a fair amount of time past this two-year expectation,

we fell victim to closure right before our planned move to Los Angeles. Our buyers had over-purchased inventory and our catalog shoots slowly came to an end. It was heartbreaking for our team -- much like saying goodbye to a family.

I once lived for 8-hour shoots and the familiar sounds of a busy studio. Now I live for the feeling to be passionate about my job, just as I was then.

Organized photo-shoots and team schedules.

Maintained communication with models and their agencies. Negotiated model pay rates.

Maintained a high volume, two-day photo editing turnaround for catalog purposes.

Regulatory Database Analyst

In February of 2014, my supervisor at LexisNexis decided to hire me as a full-time Regulations Analyst. During my time in this role I became a subject matter expert on the regulatory process of seven jurisdictions; Wyoming, Montana, Michigan, Missouri, New Hampshire, Nevada and the District of Columbia. In June of the same year, I was sent to Seattle, WA to complete a full training in SQL query and script specification writing.

Responsibilities & Achievements

Managed the collection and tracking of regulatory content for assigned jurisdictions using a Linux operating system screen. Recognized within the company for dramatically improving overall track and text turn-around time for the District of Columbia Rulemaking Register.

Improved the quality of data collection and conversion by collaborating with the in-house engineering department on various debugs, script writing, and general programming developments.

Completed a full specification and quality check training using SQL and JIRA at the Secu-rities Mosaic office.

Actively communicated with offshore keying vendors and the team extension to maintain a resourceful work-flow involving thousands of XML files.

L exisNexis had acquired a business called Securities Mosaic, a company dedicated to the collection of federal agency data and securities related documents. By the end of 2014, a decision was made to move all operations tools from the Seattle headquarters

to the Sacramento office. The editorial team would need to be rebuilt from the ground up and the knowledge transfer from the original team would have to happen immediately. In November of 2014, I was promoted to Regional Lead of this new department and made responsible for executing this knowledge transfer as smoothly as possible.

With a great deal of effort from my all-star team and some detailed scheduling, the transfer was complete and the Sacramento office had full control of Securities Mosaic content publishing. The team managed to do all of this within six weeks.

Company: LexisNexis

Responsibilities & Achievements

Successfully migrated all operations tools from the Seattle Securities Mosaic office to the brand new Sacramento team.

Organized and completed a six week Securities training with a focus on: SEC Enforcement, Investigations,Law Firm Memos, Dodd Frank, ACA, No Action Letters and Private Placement.

Tracked the keying and XML conversion process for thousands of federal agency documents.
