Jasper County Junior Livestock Show & Sale FRIDAY and SATURDAY March 24 – 25 in JASPER By Brock Fry, Jasper County Ag/NR Agent

It’s that time of year for our 4-H and FFA members to start getting ready for the Jasper County Junior Livestock Show. This show helps Jasper County youth develop responsibility, charac-ter and knowledge by competing with livestock projects. Every year, new faces come into the ring to show that rabbit, lamb, steer, goat, heifer, swine or ag mechanics project. I want to encourage everyone to come out and support our youth, par-ents and adult volunteers. An important part of this experience is showing the results, and this experience translates to success now and later in life. It is important that we show our support to these future leaders in our community. Entry forms and the complete JCJLF booklet are posted on our

website under the 4-H tab: http://jasper.agrilife.org

Martin Dies Jr. State Park and the Jasper City Animal Shelter team up to give homeless pups a chance to romp in the park. Inspired by Music Whether you’re heading to a concert, go-ing dancing with friends or just hanging out at home listening to your favorite tunes, let your style choices reflect your musical taste with designs inspired by melody, tune, harmony, composition and song. From the rapid lively tempo of country music banjos, the slow sad moan of the blues, or the edgy upbeat rhythm of hip hop, there is a melodic palette for everyone.
